The Dawson has hands down been my best experience in New York. We had reservations on New Years Eve. We were seated immediately in a nice cozy booth upstairs. The restaurant itself is beautiful. We had the best waitress. There were plenty food options for any appetite and the drinks were top notch. I would definitely recommend The Dawson!
We had a party of 8 (3 adults and 5 teenagers) and we dined on New Year's Eve day at 5pm. We were seated at a table upstairs. The bar/restaurant was decorated very festively for Christmas/winter holiday. Our waitress started out very attentive. Our only complaint was that she basically disappeared after our food arrived. We had to ask another server (twice) to get our bill. The food was very good. About half of our group ordered burgers and they all liked what they ordered....
Best Sunday roast in NYC by far. Too many places charging 35-50 for a tiny plate of sub par roast. This place gives you the bang for your buck, I got a pile of roast beef with mash potatoes, roast potatoes, carrots, broccoli, Cauliflower, stuffing and a nice pot of gravy.
The service was also top tier. I’m not one to usually make reviews but this place deserves it, top class all around.
