The food and vibe was great! Service was overall good as well. Our only gripe was food came out lightening fast. Like we had only taken a few bites of our appetizers and our entrees were out. It's a pet peeve of mine. We had an early reservation because we had show tickets at 7. We arrived at 4 and apps and entrees were all on the table by 4:25. it would have been nice for them to course the meal better= maybe we were victim to the super early reservation. We had to ask them...
I really enjoyed the environment and our server. The drinks were great. But I ordered a turkey sandwich which was very sparse in turkey. Disappointing. Because of that, I may not return.
Love The Elgin! Enjoy a meal every time I visit NYC! Love the atmosphere and, in particular, the appetizers and value can't be beat! Phenomenal menu and food quality. This trip, our bartender was not very personable. Could not tell you her name.....she did not share it. The other male bartender working during the same shift was very pleasant - and when our bartender went on break or left for the day, the female bartender who took her place was delightful!
