A curious downstairs space with solid drinks and solid food and which is exactly the kind of Lord of the Rings Shire den you'd want to pop into on a chilly night to catch up with your buddies. If you don't expect more you won't be disappointed and if you're looking for just that, you will find yourself in heaven.
Was visiting NYC recently, and my wife and I wanted to go to a bar. Nothing fancy, not really a restaurant, just a bar--this place delivered. A couple of beers, some decent onion rings and a volume level inside the establishment that allows for normal conversation. Recommended.

There’s a pool table, but I’ve never seen anyone use it. Maybe there’s a league night or something that I missed.
Bartender was awesome, and other patrons were talkative and friendly, if few in number.
I don’t live near this bar, but if I did, I would be a regular.
