First time coming here and will be back since the vibes are amazing! I came here with my brother and friends, Lester the bartender was excellent in his service! The aesthetic of the place was super cool, and I love how live the place got after 11pm. If you’re looking for a good time, come here!

The Follys is such a great find!! chill atmosphere, great music, and a perfect mix of locals and visitors. The vibe is relaxed but lively, and the drinks are top-notch without the downtown pretentiousness. Special shoutout to Lester the bartender!!! he’s the kind of person who makes the whole experience better. Super attentive, friendly, and knows exactly how to make you feel welcome. Whether you’re in the mood for something classic or want to try something new, he’ll mix it up perfectly. You can tell he really cares about making everyone’s night great. If you’re around Houston St, definitely stop by Folly’s. Between the great drinks, the crowd, and Lester behind the bar, it’s easily one of the best spots in the area!!

We hosted an engagement party for my brother at The Folly, and it was a terrible experience mostly due to a staff member named Ina. She was rude, unaccommodating, and rushed us the entire time, despite our $2,000 spend. Drinks took nearly 30 minutes, she refused to serve the bride and groom together because of a “one drink per person policy”, and wouldn’t even share the Wi-Fi password. The manager had told us we could take our time leaving, but Ina forced us out before 7pm, made me take down our decorations early, and wouldn’t let us remove the clashing Halloween décor. To top it off, my mother fell down the poorly lit stairs, as did two other people, and the staff showed zero concern. Disorganized, unpleasant, and unprofessional from start to finish. Do not host your event here.
Update: as you responded - I find it very interesting how Inas behavior was not addressed nor was the rushing. Must be because of the truthfulness of my comments. I am stating only facts. This was my experience.

The Folly is the perfect place to celebrate Halloween! The cozy, wood-paneled, ship-like vibe makes it an ideal spot for a fall happy hour in October or November.
We came with a large group, and the service was excellent. We ordered the fries with aioli, arancini balls, peppers, and burgers — everything was fantastic. The drinks were also great and prepared quickly.

This is my favorite bar in nyc. Fantastic music (90-2000s rock), cool vibe (slightly nautical/pirate), and the bartenders are awesome. Lester and aj were on top of it all night and so entertaining!

The bartender Lester ? Coolest and most attentive bartender I’ve been served by in a long time. Right before my last sip, he’ll noticed it and ask me right there and then if I’m ready for another one or not; mind you there was at least 10/15 people at the bar, quick, attentive, and very friendly/easy to talk to ! I deff recommend going there and being served by him; he’ll make you feel like you’ve been there and known him for a long time, mind you it was my first time there. Good atmosphere, good vibes and good drinks. Thank you Lester !
