I was here last week with my wife coming from Chicago and had the best time! This is our 2nd visit to the folly and we will continue coming back. The waitress Justine was so nice and her brother Ajay is the bartender! (I think my wife liked him a little too much) ;) - Great drinks and great food. DO NOT skip the frozen drinks! :)

My party waited for menus / a server for almost 20 minutes before finally being approached by a waitress who proceeded to tell us that the area we were sitting in was reserved (despite it not being marked / roped off). We wound up being sent outside, where we finally received menus. The weather was nice and the waitress seemed apologetic, so we didn’t mind much. Having just sat down, we asked the waitress for waters & for a moment to look over our options. Almost immediately after she went back inside the restaurant we were approached by a man (who we assumed was the manager) who urged us to order. His demeanor suggested that he assumed we were not paying customers despite our clear expression of our intent to order food. We ordered and then were made to give him a card to “hold.” We got our food, which was actually very good, but were barely checked on. I understand that they were busy, but the entire interaction rubbed us the wrong way. We wound up having to go back into the restaurant ourselves to retrieve our card. Again, the food was very good, and the ambiance was great, but our experience was disappointing due to the service.

The manager AJ prevented two men, one of which assaulted my friend, from being kicked out of the bar, and also apologized to the men. This bar doesn’t do anything to protect victims from assault that happens inside, so beware.

We did our engagement party here and had an amazing time. Their event space is gorgeous and really has an awesome vibe to it. We had one hiccup with the food platter orders I had put in despite me clarifying something’s more than once before the event. But Justine handled the mishap really well and got things sorted. AJ was the life of the party, and was an amazing addition to our party. He was also super nice and helpful all night. The food was also really great.

The Folly is an amazing place to grab a drink or host an event at. Aron and team were communicative and kind throughout the process. Music and drinks were awesome. The space was unique and well air conditioned in NYC summer.

it was kind of loud when we came at 7pm ish on a thursday but wasn’t fighting for my life to hear my friend talk or anything. (i felt like we were fighting for our lives to get the bartenders attention though)

This is the best bar Broadway had to offer happy hour weekdays until 8pm. Everyone is so kind but def go on Fridays to meet Moe he’s the best!!! I’m so glad I found this hidden gem!! I’m taking all my friends here. Also I work nearby and it’s amazing. It’s honestly the best bar I’ve ever been to.
