The Grey Dog - Flatiron is a popular spot known for its cozy and welcoming atmosphere, making it a great neighborhood hangout. Inside, the design is unique, and there is also outside seating available. The vibe is friendly and lively, especially during brunch and happy hour when the energy is upbeat. The menu offers a variety of dishes, with the Grey Dog Breakfast being highly recommended for its deliciousness and satisfying portions. Pancakes and omelettes are also enjoyed, though some reviews note that the food is generally good but not exceptional, with items like home fries being just regular French fries and potatoes being standard. Service experiences vary; some staff are friendly and helpful, while others seem rushed or not very accommodating. The atmosphere is often described as excellent, with a neighborhood feel and a sense of history. Happy hour drinks, like the Glow Up Mule, are praised, and popular dishes include Sriracha wings, fried brussels sprouts, and mac & cheese. Overall, it’s a lively spot appreciated for its ambiance and comfort, though some find the food and service inconsistent.
