Sad to see this place go. I probably won't have the opportunity to revisit it before Sebastian Junger shutters its doors, but I do think it deserves a good send-off from its regular patrons. It's disappointing to see a bar where people could gather to listen to discussions and lectures of important public policy issues-even if they were lead by neocon cretins like Max Boot-close down. Just like Lolita Bar, you will be missed. C'est la vie.

Love The Half King, the storied author and creative owners for giving us this intimate boite- offering great menu mix, drinks and always great service by friendly servers- so sad the closing is this week- stopping by each night till close- including my birthday- lots of 18 years history and entertaining friends from out of town here- specifically since the high line opened- albeit all the fanfare increased the rent in an area created cool by places like, The Half King- will miss...read full review

Been here a few times with friends and family after the Chelsea Galleries. The Shepherd's pie is really good. The bar area is big and gets packed in the evening. There's outside seating in the summer. Cool place.
