I shop here all the time during the weekday I never had any issue. On this particular day I was followed to one of the aisle while i was shopping. One of their Asian cashiers followed me and i was racially profiled. That never happened to me before in all the years i shop there. I will not shop there anymore. And then the same cashier called me a sir instead of ma'am checking me out. If you black dont shop there. I thought they will be more compassionate since there are mostly minorities working there but i was mistaken. I would have given them a zero for service but can't go down that low!

I’ve been going to this store for close to 20 years at this location. They have a good selection of produce and other organic stuff. But the prices are just way too high. Also not very friendly people working there and certainly the checkout could be better in a big way. Yes we all bring our own bags now, but would it kill you to help put the groceries in my bag? Also, I am not an unfamiliar face there. “Hello how are you” would go a long ways. I was just there today and the woman checking me out was on a phone call the entire time she was ringing up my things. I just find it rude.

The prepared food is really good! Always fresh and healthy. You can't get a good lunch for under $5 anywhere else! Lots of good soaps and stuff too.
Love this place! The produce is so fresh and reasonably priced. I’ve never had a mealy tomato or sad carrot from here. It’s consistently top quality and always organic. I’m here 3 days a week easily. They carry top brands and the owners genuinely care about health and their customers. They carefully select non toxic products and are always happy to help. There is an adorable little kitty that roams the aisles. They also offer organic and non toxic beauty products- from lotions to shampoos and makeup! They a juice and smoothie bar as well. They have good sales from time to time on things from extra virgin olive oil to vitamins. They have lots of gluten and dairy free options. They also have a large selection of fresh nuts. It’s always a peaceful shopping experience and it’s never crowded and overwhelming like every other grocery store in the neighborhood. You will not be disappointed!!

I frequent Health Nuts Second Avenue, and always love the staff and the amount of products they sell. I often will buy avocado, and bananas, yogurt and teas here. I also get a fresh wheat grass or juice. Easy and Fast for last minute quick items.

Probably the most affordable place to get supplements in the city. They have a really diverse selection too. I went to an Apothecary that sold L-Orthinine for $54, and then I walked to The Health Nuts and they were selling it for $20.

Nice little grocery, but I’d stick to packaged foods only. There are a lot of flies in the fresh foods area and this morning I saw a small cockroach floating in their hot tea water. I showed a staff member and by the way they reacted, this had happened before. Disgusting. How do you miss a giant insect in a clear carafe with clear water in it?
