I was in NYC for work, and had been there for DAYS without a decent cup of coffee. During a lunch break at the conference, I googled coffee shops nearby. This one was not only the closest, but I tell it was smaller and tucked away. Those are almost ALWAYS the best quality places. The barista was also the owner. He asked me how I made my coffee at home, and whipped up a latte for me based on my preferences. He told me how he roasts his own beans & personally oversees the ingredients he uses. Walking back to the conference, I took a sip & stopped mid-step and uttered an expletive because it was just THAT GOOD. Served at perfect drinking temperature, it tasted like autumn joy and happiness. I went there once more before the conference ended, and I was sad I couldn't bring it home with me 🤣

I visited The Jolly Goat back in May when I was in New York and was so excited to come back again this fall! I never thought I could drink my coffee black without any milk but I was pleasantly surprised with their house coffee. It tasted so smooth without a hint of bitterness. I was happy to buy more of their beans. This place is the reason I am picky about coffee now! Also the owner is such a kind person and he is truly passionate about his coffee. It made our day!

Cute place. Great coffee and pastries. The owner (very friendly) knows the coffee and roasts his own beans. Awesome job!

Excellent ceremonial matcha and the friendliest barista! The quartado was also very good and my husband very much enjoyed his drink.
On our way out of New York we popped in to this adorable coffee bar. The vibe was quaint and the service was friendly. The lavender latte were spot on.

Someone else wrote “best hot chocolate of their life” — unfortunately this is not accurate, it’s average, quick, and like an elevated swiss miss mix situation. The coffee and pastries looked good- i didn’t have but i want to note in case anyone was only coming for a hot chocolate, maybe try another spot

The macchiato is delightful. Dense but not overwhelmingly bitter. Mike foamed perfectly.

Currently I’m an owner of a coffee shop in Wheatland, CA. The Jolly Goat caught our eye just from the name and it definitely did not disappoint. The environment was very welcoming, and as soon as we got to the counter, the barista did an amazing job of taking our order, welcoming us to the area, as well as making an amazing cup of coffee. Our only downside was that there was not wearable merch for us to buy to represent the Jolly Goat while back in California. We will definitely be visiting again during our next trip to New York!!

I’m in nyc for a conference and was in the neighborhood and stopped by here.
I grabbed a coffee and a cookie. It’s a cute spot with great energy and feels local and Mom and Pop.

We were trying to kill a few hours before they would let us on our cruise ship. We googled coffee shop and found this cute little shop. Other than no real place to sit except a couple of stools inside and 2 tables outside it was such a cute little place. Coffee was great, barista was awesome we were nowhere near home but would come back again if in the area. I can imagine if I lived in the area starting my morning here daily.

The barista is a real problem. The coffee and atmosphere is quite nice. I go there in the morning for my coffee fix, but I have become hesitant to go there because I have to have an unpleasant interaction every time I get coffee.

Came here because of the smell 🤤 and talk about a good decision. Coffee made with love and environment is so friendly. THENNNN my friend had a pastry and wasn’t talking to me because he was so occupied eating his now favorite croissant. I found out after that the pastry is FROM FRANCE. This is a must go to cafe with quaint vibes, warm/welcoming service and Delicious coffee and pastry. (I’m coming back later today to get my pastry!)
