I recently visited The Lookup and was blown away by the stunning view of the Empire State Building. While the entire staff was great, Jennifer, the head mixologist, truly took customer service to another level. Despite it being the end of the night and juggling multiple tasks, Jennifer treated my family like her own, ensuring we had everything we needed. Her lovely demeanor and attentiveness, along with her expertly crafted drinks, made our visit unforgettable. If I ran a hospitality business, I'd want ten Jennifers—she is the epitome of going above and beyond and truly deserves a promotion. We'll definitely be back!

Really awful experiences here both as guests and non-guests of the hotel. Stayed at the Kixby for 3 nights and came up 3 separate times, even after checking out and into a new hotel. Came here one last time after moving hotels and supposedly they close at midnight on Fridays, but we were here at 11:15pm. The hostess let us up, but when we got to the top the bartender immediately told us the bar is closed oh but we can get wine or beer. Get our wine/beer and 5 minutes later the lights are turned up super bright indicating we should leave. The 3 bartenders/waitresses really had more important things to do, they were on their phones talking to other people making plans for the rest of the night. Really uncomfortable experience to be trying to enjoy a drink and feel unwanted. Not worth it at all, go to a bar that doesn’t kick their patrons out 45 minutes before closing and has better ambiance. This is NYC, you’ll find it. Enjoyed our stay at the Kixby up until this point.

Decent drinks but their posted hours are inaccurate. They claim to close at midnight on Friday. The hostess let us go up at 11:10 but then the bartender told us they closed the bar at midnight. At 11:30 they started asking patrons to leave and turned the lights on.

Clear recommendation. Not overcrowded, nice music, staff are all very nice and the best thing is the view directly onto the Empire State Building, which looks awesome especially in the dark. You don't have to pay an entrance fee like you sometimes do in other rooftop bars. The prices are already high, but drink prices are like that all over NY. We paid $18 for a cocktail. Nevertheless, you should go to a rooftop bar at least once during your NY vacation and I can recommend this one for that.

Nice view under the Empire State Building. However, 30 minutes after sitting down and no drinks. Waitress was apologetic and polite. If it was my business I’d want a much quicker turnaround on serving….
