This restaurant is soooooo racist. they were talking about a couple. a white man with his black woman. Then the waitress switch from white to spanish. Unbelieveable i will never eat at this restaurant or any restaurant like this ever again that does not have black and white emplyees and they must be able to serve both communities. This is truly disgusting barbaric behavior. Horrible service means my food was horrible as well.

This place was amazing and gorgeous! The live music and ambience were fantastic and the water was so refreshing. The perfect balance of ice to water, they have their ratios down to a science! Unfortunately, water was all we ever received because we were ignored the entire 12 minutes we were sitting at this establishment. Besides someone silently dropping off water we were unsure who to place our order with because we never spoke to anyone :( wish we had a chance to try some cocktails and lobster mac for my beautiful wife’s birthday, but alas we are heading home.

This place was my goto place for food and drinks during the pandemic. Reasonable price, good food and drinks. Nice ambience and staff. Sadly they have been closed for a while. Unlike some reviewers who have accused this establishment of racial discrimation, they have never treated us badly. Being a colored person myself, I have never felt uncomfortable there. Hopefully they open soon in summer. Cheers!

Brown friend was treated with disrespect. Food was great, atmosphere was great. friend arrived later than I, mood changed after her arrival. I grew up in NYC, native NY era know how to treat people. Outsiders from other places (like the south) don't know how to treat everyone equally. my guess is that owner thinks NYC is for whites only?!!? My rate is based on the FOOD ALONE!

Horrible horrible horrible never coming here again. If I could give a place 0 stars I would for the first time everrrr. The service was horrible, the food was sub par and my friends food had two long hairs in it. I usually only leave good reviews but not today. Never again

Hands down top 3 dining experiences I’ve ever had in Manhattan. The ambiance was flawless, acoustics on point, and the service was amazing. Alice was great, she made it a memorable experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

It's a rare gem in FiDi, and the decor, plush and spatious (sp) seating, and "chillaxed" atmosphere. I love it! The food itself is pretty standard gastropub fare. We were hungry as hell and decided to go to town with a pastiche of foods: a giant pretzel, a dozen oysters, and chocolate brownies. Pretty solid all around, though some of the oysters weren't well shucked and had little pieces of ice in them. I'd skip that and just come here when you want to relax and catch up with someone.

The waitress was very rude. The drinks were weak. I guess the rumors of this place being - racist - are true.

Really lovely spot for quiet drinks, food was nice and the drinks were so good! Staff was lovely as well, highly recommend!

Pretty sure they do not like black people here. They made my friend and I sit in the back. Gave us the check after 1 DRINK! Told us we had already had too much. One waitress mouthed “we don’t server their kind anyway!” A guest told me my lips were fake because they are too big, while hers and her entire entourage were non existent, another waitress thought that was the funniest thing ever.

We sat in an igloo outside So didn’t have a chance to see the inside, but I think that was the best (butternut squash) risotto I’ve ever had. The oysters were also tasty. Will have to try their cocktails next time.

Chilled spot with a rustic interior akin to looking like someone's apartment way back in the day (like circa 1960). Drinks are well made here but TBF I came on a really slow Thursday at Lunch. A nice touch are the inhouse made veggie sliders.

I went here with a friend last week while I was visiting New York. Clearly they seem to have a problem with people of color, as they sat me, a African American man, in the back with my Filipino-Mexican American friend. There were plenty of empty tables near the front, but the placed us in the back like two cheap dust maids. It took over 15 minutes before our server came over and took our order and clearly just as long to get our order. The food, once received was cold and dreadful and the Libations were dull and tasteless . I make better Libations. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, not for eating or having Libation, unless you want to be treated like you mean nothing and you are nothing. Never again .

Sat me (an African American woman) in the back with my date (Caucasian male) server didn't even serve us what we asked for, don't go here at all! Racist establishment.
