Meatball Trio was good, but the classic is the best choice, the Mac cheese was also very good, Chicken Parm was delicious, along with the side of cauliflower. Garlic bread was a little burnt, kale was mid and we sat outside so service could have been a little more attentive. Overall nothing that would blow you away, solid meal but can't say we'll be going back.
Delicious meatballs and spaghetti. Not too crowded at 6pm on a Thursday evening. Staff was very friendly and polite.
Always one of my favorite places to meet with friends and grab dinner when visiting the city. The food is always so good. The chicken pesto pasta is my favorite paired with the sangria and the ice cream sandwiches with cookies for dessert is a cant miss. The waiter we had was fantastic. Definitely recommend this place
Fantastic food and service. Checked on us multiple times during the meal and glass never went empty. 10/10
I really wanted to love this place. I came to The Meatball Shop on the strength of TikTok recommendations, expecting comfort food with bold flavor and a cozy vibe. Unfortunately, it fell short in just about every area except service.
I spent $28 on what felt like a very thrown together plate. I’ve had $10 pasta from casual spots that tasted way more intentional. The pasta was just okay..not overcooked, but definitely underwhelming. The meatballs themselves were a bit spicy, which I usually love, but here it was more like bland heat. No depth, no real flavor payoff. It was missing seasoning, herbs, sauce richness just vibes and heat.
The restaurant was completely empty when I went, which was surprising given the hype. That alone made the atmosphere feel a little off. On the bright side, the bartender was super sweet and attentive, which honestly was the highlight of the experience. Props to them.
Overall, the food didn’t match the price, the flavor didn’t match the expectations, and the hype definitely didn’t translate in real life. Might be a better spot for drinks or apps if you’re already nearby, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it again.

Meatball Shop used to be my go to but the service was poor and they ran out of their signature Spaghetti in Meatballs dish at 6pm.. I asked for another minute to decide on my order and the server never came back, delivered starters and dinners at the same time (I got nothing because I didn't get to order), messed up a kids menu item and we received a big bill at the end. Left hungry. Definitely not coming back.
We had an amazing time. Fantastic dishes. Shaunie took such good care of our table and made great recommendations. We didn't feel rushed.
This has always been a required stop anytime I visit NYC. Used to go to the shop that was near Greenwich village but I guess it closed but the one in Hell's Kitchen was still great. Slightly better venue too

Anytime I make it into NYC, it's a must to stop at the Meatball Shop. The food is always stellar and priced right.
Always love the Meatball Shop! Food and service always exceeds expectations! Perfect before a show- close to many theaters.
This is a fantastic place. We went for happy hour and our bartender Anthony was fantastic. He recommended some of the food items off the happy hour menu and we were very happy with the tasteful selections. We will be back!
