Loved their happy hour meal ($30 for half lobster roll, martini, fries, and pudding) and the great space and service.

Perfectly cooked cod with a crispy skin and buttery finish. Great happy hour menu for food and drinks. Nice seafood selection. I would definitely return to try other menu options. Attentive staff. Clean restaurant with an elevated nautical motif.

Great food and staff. Small request/issue would be that I wish the tables were a bit larger. But still, 5 out of 5
I am a regular at The Mermaid Inn. The food is fabulous but the real praise should be towards the staff! From the maitre d to Gabriel and Peter the fabulous bartenders! The servers are fabulous, jut the right amount of attention. I believe our server last night w ''Carlos' Peter never has to ask me what I drink, he knows and exactly what type of oysters I like!!!~ My favorite favorite restaurant in all of NYC!
Great vibes and service, enjoyed trying a variety of seafood. Drinks were strong and good too.

Popular happy hour with lots of options. Get there at opening for a table. Exceptional service from our server, Carly S.
Great restaurant. Went for oyster happy hour and was not disappointment. Others got main meals and we're equally satisfied. Menu is heavy on the seafood though, so not as many options for those with allergies or who don't like seafood.

Good 👍
Leandro was an amazing server and made the evening a special one. The artic char with fingerline potatoes was delicious. The octopus salad and lobster escargot were exceptional.
This was my first visit to the Mermaid Inn - Chelsea but it won't be my last. The food was exceptional. I tried one of the special appetizers; a shrimp gazpacho soup, despite not typically liking cold soups, and I was blown away by the clean yet complex flavors. It was a perfect, refreshing summer soup. My companions shared another special - roasted octopus - and a regular menu appetizer - fish tacos. Both were outstanding, but I especially liked the octopus. It was flavorful and meaty. Not at all rubbery like I expected. Entrees were also wonderful. I had the arctic char, and it was cooked to perfection with a lovely, rich sauce. My companions had the Chatham cod (another winner) and the ahi tuna, which was prepared exactly as it should be. I was fortunate to dine with a group of “sharers”, so I was able to sample everything. Nothing warranted a rating below 10/10. Finally, our server, Sue, was delightful. She was attentive without being cloying, made solid, informed recommendations, and helped make our overall dining experience memorable. Sorry if I sound like I am gushing, but as someone who enjoys dining out as much as I can, my Mermaid Inn experience ranks as one of the best I have enjoyed in some time. I look forward to a return visit soon.
Another great night at the Mermaid. Food was outstanding as usual and I highly recommend the lobster roll.
The ambiance was great, the food was great, all of the staff were great. Overall an incredible experience. Our server was kind and extremely engaging. The culture here is clearly well established around creating a fun and positive environment. Would highly recommend.
