We came with a friend and got to try most of the items. For three people, we shared some appetizers —— the seeded bread (7/10), scallops 7.5/10, duck bun (6/10), bucatini (7.5/10).The entrees were much better than the appetizers. Got the halibut, bbq pork, and duck breast. All were delicious, but the duck was definitely the best. Would come back for the main courses. Mille feuille was good too, not picturedCocktails were not memorable. Interior was beautiful!

Very subpar food. Service was good. Atmosphere was okay. Thought the restaurant would be on a Veronika or crown shy level but it dropped the ball. Fluke crudo appetizer was fresh but sauce was way too sour. The scallops were nice. Good execution there. Halibut and bass entrees were too salty. The halibut sauce made my partner nauseous. For me, the plate was kind of messy. Too many flavors competing. Bread was the best things we had. Overall, food wasn’t refined as I thought it would be from other reviews and owner backgrounds. People were dressed casually. Went for my anniversary and was served well. Atmosphere tad underwhelming. Decor okay…reminded me of a clean wework.

The menu opens with a straightforward selection of first course’s then followed by some interesting salad and mains…but what’s delivered is exceptional. The scallop appetizer is a standout, the caviar option presents and tastes amazing. The duck was perfect, both fish’s offered, halibut and red snapper, were excellent. Wines were overpriced and somewhat underwhelming for such a well healed staff. The place is great, a wonderful experience with professional staff all working as a team.

Not a big duck person and that seems to be winning dishes. Still thought the food was quite good and a lot of fish options. Nice to try many small plates too. Chicken was quite big and had an incredible sauce. Incredible service and very friendly wait staff.

The Noortwyck is so good! Everyone should go, especially in the warm weather when they are open air to lively Bleecker Street. The Parker House Rolls with butter - just get them and you too will understand. Otherwise their salads and mains are great. The service is wonderful and your server can steer you to what's the best to try each visit. Brunch and dinner are both excellent.

Will come back just for the crab bucatini - incredible. The striped bass was also top tier. Unique take on the mille feuille but so delicious. Cocktails were potent and only needed one!

Our go to when visitors are in town. Upscale yet casual. Great location. Food is great. One of the only places we repeatedly go!

Was on my list to try. Nothing special. Bucatini was fine. Yes nduja is a fatty pork soft sausage, but a pool of its grease at the bottom of the bowl no good. I’ve had it prepared and incorporated much better in other restaurants. The duck breast for $48 (no side) was again fine. Skin was crispy but way over salted. Sauce was nice. One piece was rendered very nicely and the other had a tough fat-cap. Had high hopes but it was just average.

The Noortwyck is excellent. It's a rare restaurant that's elegant without being stuffy, that executes perfectly without showiness. It just works for so many occasions, and has become my go-to in the West Village.I'd recommend any of the pastas they have available, and definitely save room for dessert.(Also, their take-home Thanksgiving pies are incredible; they're the reason I look forward to November every year.)

My friend and I had a great experience at the Noortwyck. The food and service was phenomenal — the striped bass melted in your mouth. We would highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique cocktails and nice week-night date spot.Dietary restrictions: Waitress was knowledgable for nut-allergies.

Absolutely loved dinner at this spot for an intimate birthday celebration. Every dish was perfectly executed. This place is ideal for foodies who want a refined experience without paying an arm and a leg for it. Also the mocktails were great

Came for valentines dinner. Great service, slightly disappointed in the food. To start off, caviar and champagne was good. Bread was heavenly. First course, fluke crudo was good but way too much citrus. It was all I tasted. Chicories were bland. Second course, crab bucatini was also bland. Tortellini soup was cold upon arrival, excessive coriander, thick rubbery pasta skin. Third course we’re the star of the show, halibut was gorgeous. Duck was phenomenal. So was dessert. I just wish it wasn’t so hit or miss. I heard great things here.

Though the full-strength cocktails are skillfully made, I kept coming back to a nonalcoholic one, the Shift Drink, a grapefruit-and-ginger-beer cooler in a tumbler filled with ice pebbles. The pastas I tried have been overcomplicated. My luck was better with the main courses. There is a creamy steamed halibut fillet cloaked in a buttery parsley-vermouth sauce, served over chanterelles and tiny saffron-scented gnocchi. More forcefully, there is the charcoal-grilled duck breast, meaty and bittersweet under its rub of molasses and other barbecue-sauce flavors (not ketchup, though).
