Great cocktails! Great for a drink before going to the Beacon Theater, if you can get in. Small spot.

I have loved Owl’s Tail since my first visit 5 years ago. Cocktails are excellent! Staff is very friendly. Food is a sleeper hit. A great local spot for sure. 🫶🏼

Found this place in a book called Drink Like a Local and with its location and vibe I can see why the locals like it. They change up the drink menu for the season so be sure to check the website for what is on for now. They do seem to get it right as I thoroughly enjoyed the choices I had under their signature drinks. I also recommend trying the steamed shrimp dumplings for a little snack.

Easy neighborhood spot for drinks. Good cocktail selection (and the team gives straightforward, accurate recs/warnings depending on your taste), and a small selection of mocktails, too.
The Owl Tail is such a cozy gem, just a quick and easy stroll from the 72nd Street Station (1, 2, and 3 lines). The inside is beautiful, but since the October weather was perfect, we grabbed a table outside and soaked up the vibe. The menu might be small, but it’s packed with great seasonal options and they’ve got a happy hour from 4:30 to 6:30!!! Definitely worth catching.
Our servers, Emily and Cynthia, were absolute stars: super friendly, honest, and knew the menu inside out. We went with their suggestions and loved everything. The deviled egg platter (half-off during happy hour!) and the butternut squash crostini were both winners. I ordered the Owltumnal Daiquiri, and wow, it tasted like fall in a glass. The drinks all sounded tempting, so I’m already planning my next visit to try more. Clean bathrooms, good vibes, and a place I’ll definitely be back to check out indoors next time.

Lauren and Collin gave exceptional service. They were incredibly attentive, consistently checked in on us, always refilled our water and were very friendly. The cocktails were excellent and came out quickly. Will definitely be back!

Great cocktails and atmosphere! Service was a little slow… the girl at front desk was just sat on her phone while we waited to order. But the cocktails made up for the wait!

What is the reason you have your phone number listed if you don’t pick up the phone or don’t have an option to leave a message?
It’s cute for UWS, good cocktails and stays crowded late
Had a great time pre show, the service was surprisingly fast for how packed it was, the cocktail menu has something for most tastes and the prices are well in line with the average for the area. Highly recommend

Espresso Martini - 3/5
Good coffee flavor, OK foam that wasn't super smooth. Not a super smooth Espresso Martini in general. 3 beans. Not a bad Espresso Martini to order.
Guinness version Espresso Martini - 1.5/5
Contains walnut for those with nut allergies. Guinness overpowers the espresso flavor.
Lila was awesome! She had wonderful drink recommendations and made an extra effort by serving me something off menu that I thoroughly enjoyed!
