This modern Irish pub is an Upper East Side gem. The atmosphere is warm and very inviting. Cozy when not full, and a bustle when full.
To be clear, what makes The Raven a gem is really due to the friendly, knowledgeable and energetic staff.
The Staff is Key: The female and male bartenders (names redacted here) serve *everyone* (young to old!) efficiently with their fantastic and distinct warm Irish personalities. If you are a 'regular,' they know what to pour. Great mixologist skills. They even manage to cover table service too, and this is no breeze when it's game day/night. They cover it all with a watchful eye. Really excellent . [I am not a diner, but many come for the food selection, and I hear many surprised happy foodie comments.]
Oh yes, the TV access is wide with multiple game selections -- when it's doable within reason. Bartender staff manages this well too. Talk about multitaskers!

The staff is crazy they have people who listen to your conversations and tell them to the staff. Then ask you why you said what you said. Even though you said it to the person you were with. It’s stupid crazy. It’s a cult like atmosphere in the bar. Not for the people over 60 for sure. It’s age discrimination!!

It takes a special kind of venue to be the only person waiting for a drink, but have four staff behind the bar. Only to be ignored and then queue-jumped by someone else. Wear fluorescent clothing, folks!
