Discover this hidden jewel! Walk past the pizza ovens and tempting display of assorted pizzas...to the back room. With table-clothed tables, trompe l'oeil art and attentive wait-staff, this family owned Italian restaurant surprises! The quality and flavor of the food at Italian Village Pizzeria & Restaurant NYC easily equals or surpasses many of the other “Ristorante” on the Upper East Side! We started with some excellent wine and the complimentary bruschetta as we tried to decided on the tempting seafood and chicken specials of the night. We started with the burrata with beets and frisée greens dressed with a mild mustard vinaigrette. We ordered from the menu: I had the shrimp parmigiana and Leslee Borger had the eggplant parmigiana. If you’re on the Upper East Side neighborhood, check this place out. BTW we love the pizza... and they deliver too!
