It was a fun pre-theater dinner, perfect location for Shubert Theater. The music in the restaurant was excellent, we were singing along! Food was standard American fare, slightly elevated chain restaurant food, not cheap but average for theater district. Our waiter was great, attentive and helpful. Would definitely eat there again for pre-theater.

Good ambience, food and service. We enjoyed a pre-theater dinner here. Our waiter was very attentive and the manager came over and introduced himself. We each had a cocktail, shared a beet salad, my husband had the fish and chips which he really liked and I ate branzino that I had them fillet for me. We finished the meal with cheesecake which was delicious. We will definitely return here for another meal before theater.

We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. Service was quick and professional but a bit overwhelming at time. We had 4 waitstaff lined up pretty much starring at our table. If our water was a quarter gone they were already there to refill. Staff was very nice and we really enjoyed our food. My son had steak and I had a chopped salad with salmon and we both felt our meals were delicious. So helpful to get a last minute reservation in-between two broadway shows. Ambience was stunning and we appreciated tables were not right on top of each other and volume moderate so we could hold a conversation. Will absolutely be back when we are next in NYC!

Staff pleasant upon check in. Varied menu. Staff seemed disorganized. In a rush to take orders, we were there at 5 PM, not crowded There were three different people serving and taking orders, no one seemed to know what anyone else was doing Food was okay. Lobster bisque was delicious Not sure if I would return

Sunday afternoon pre-theater brunch. Fantastic service, food and cocktails. My eggs benedict was wonderful. Desserts are huge so trust me when I say one order of the brownie and ice cream is plenty to go around for a table of 4.

The French onion soup and caesar salad were the best I've ever had. The rigatoni vodka was to die for and the short ribs were excellent. My kids LOVED the pizza and French fries. Everything was excellent. We will be back next time we come to NYC

Our server took such good care of us as he knew we were in a hurry, had wonderful drinks and loved the atmosphere! All of our food was delicious would definitely come back again and it's right across from the theater so very convenient

Seemed like one member of our wait staff was new. He was getting a lot of things explained but other servers. Was overly quick to clear plates and silverware. The food was top notch. Rigatoni, salmon, and short ribs at our table were all delicious.

We were blown away by this place when we were in NY, a year and a half ago. This visit this time, not so much. The waiter was amazing, ambience good but the two things we came in for you no longer have. The food was basic at best!

Enjoyed our experience at Bacall's. We had reserved a bar table, but were offered a choice when we arrived and ended up choosing a table in the upper restaurant area. The ambiance here was very nice and we enjoyed the decor. Noise levels were low enough for conversation. I had a cocktail with dinner, which arrived in a Tiki glass. I loved this cool retro touch and the drink itself was excellent. Our appetizer (flatbread) and dinners (we both had theatre steak, a generous portion of tender steak which comes with a peppercorn sauce and mashed potatoes) were delicious and nicely prepared. Unexpectedly, a full order of truffle fries and ketchup also arrived with each dinner. Sadly, these went to waste because neither of us care for truffle flavor and all the rest of the food was so filling that we couldn't have eaten more anyway. Judging by the birthday celebration we witnessed during our visit, this would be a fun place to enjoy a birthday. A huge shooting sparkler was delivered to the guest with a dessert, to the delight of everyone, and the lights were dimmed and flashed, along with birthday music, for about 60 seconds. Overall, this was a great place to enjoy a meal. The service was friendly, but quite slow. However, there was bad weather when we visited, so it's possible they were short staffed that evening.

Great vibes for a pre-show dinner. Would go again. Only complaint was that the salmon I ordered to go with my salad was laughably small; not worth the $12 additional price tag for the protein.

We bought the dinner and a show package we saw online for our first night in New York City. We had 5p.m. reservations and a 7p.m. show. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived, we were greeted promptly and with a smile. Our service throughout our meal was excellent and very attentive. The dinner courses were served in a timely manner and we were finished in plenty of time to walk across the street to the theatre. The food was good. I had the friend chicken, and my husband had the hangar steak. I wouldn't say it was the best ever, but it certainly was above average, and certainly worth the price. The theatre package dinner included a limited choice of appetizer, entree and dessert. No one pushed to upsell, and alcoholic drinks were not pushed either. The theatre tickets we were given were great seats, (You don't know your seats until after you purchase the package)., and overall the value was excellent. I'd definitely recommend this package. Just make sure you allow plenty of time for the dinner and travel time to your theatre. We did have a bit of disappointment in that we had ordered a second package online for a different date and play, but the tickets were no longer available, nor was an alternative play we had selected. We were promptly refunded. If you're thinking of doing this package, better to do so as much in advance as you can. Overall, the food is good, the price is excellent, the seats were great. It was a good choice for us.

We dined before a show so it was convenient. Service was great , nice vibe. Food was okay - we all got burgers - not the best burger. Decent fries - we had hummus app which was very good and the rice balls - which were also good.

Our meal was excellent! Arancini, Burata salad, fried chicken, Rigatoni. All delicious!! We were too full for dessert, but I've had the churros here before and they are great. Noise level is low, the music played is at a background level and was comprised of cool selections. We were able to converse at a normal level of volume. Our server was attentive without rushing us, which was much appreciated. I would recommend making reservations, just in case. This is NYC, and there are tons of tourists all the time. Prices are on par for NYC, and honestly, not much more than restaurants in some of the suburbs. We will definitely be back again!

Absolutely love Bacall's and can't wait to go back! The restaurant's food and drink menu is filled with endless delicious options, plus there is truly something for everyone! My recommendations include the steak, wedge salad, truffle fries, pasta, french onion soup and bread pudding❤️
