Beautiful decor. Very convenient for Broadway shows. Friendly service but short-staffed. Closing as of today for renovations Staff was not sure if it's re-opening.
Many food items were not available for a Sat 5pm sitting. No Apple Martini's, calamari tasted liked onion rings from Burger King. Aweful taste and chewy. We waited almost 20-25 minutes to get our drinks and then barely saw waiter to reorder drinks. Burger that one person got medium rare was not good. Salmon was pretty good but a little overcooked. Asked for no bacon in omelette, came with bacon. Only 5 tables with customers. Took 40 minutes for food to come to the table.
The Ribbon — Midtown 44st is a beautiful and quiet restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square, located in the middle of the Broadway area. The service is fantastic, with attentive and lovely staff, and the servers are great. The food and drinks were very good, with delicious meals. The restaurant offers a cozy round booth upstairs which is wonderful and spacious. The ambiance has an old movie vibe. While the food may not always be memorable, it is consistently good and filling. The small bites menu offers great value during happy hour. The veggie bean burger was amazing. The holiday decorations are breathtaking. This restaurant is highly recommended for a wonderful dining experience.
