Superb service and drinks!
Very nice looking bar that’s great to sit and chat in. $10 happy hour menu 3-6pm every day. Unfortunately, the drinks really did not hit the spot. My first drink was too sweet, and the bartender was so kind to offer to change it when he noticed I’d barely had it. I switched to tokyo rickey, and that tasted like diluted sesame oil. I would’ve loved to return to this place but the drinks were just not there.
Our bartender Ishmael made our night very special. Thanks man!
This low key bar and lounge has a comfortable atmosphere, upbeat but relaxing. The bar is well stocked and the bartender had very good cocktail knowledge. The first barstool I grabbed had a mean wobble, but the parmesan truffle popcorn and roasted mixed nuts more than made up for it.
The experience at The Rickey was surprisingly disappointing. The chic decor and beautiful looking cocktails from the website were compromised immediately when we walked in and Irish rock music was blasting as if we were in a pub - definitely didn't match. A shame because if they were playing something that fit the visual ambiance it would have been a great vibe. Bar tenders were very nice and the drinks were delicious but the food was mediocre at best, which was shocking for a TAO group restaurant.
The food was outstanding.... especially for bar bites. I was disappointed in the service. We sat for over 30 minutes before anyone came by to take our food order so missed out on the happy hour empanadas. Honestly the vibe and skewers were good enough I'll actually go back!
This has quickly become my new favorite spot for happy hour! The atmosphere and decor are classy and inviting. The bartenders are friendly and attentive and Eduardo in particular stood out. He’s polite, friendly, and goes above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of. Definitely a place worth visiting! Cheers!
The drinks were great as well as the ambiance! It's a really nice place to have large groups and have a comfortable environment. We had Ben as a server and he was great! He was so kind and attentive.
Always a great experience at the Rickeys!

This bar is so fun and swanky. Lots of cool different but great cocktails! Eduardo was the best bartender! 10/10 would recommend!
We had the pleasure of having Eduardo S for our bartender!!! He was great! I would definitely pop in for a cocktail 🍸
Although nice staff, service is very weak. Food is average and cocktails were sugar focused.
I stumbled upon Rose Room, NYC's first-ever espresso martini bar. It was a busy Saturday evening, but I managed to snag a seat. The cozy, classic interior and perfectly balanced espresso martinis were so delightful that they warmed me up despite the cold outside. This place quickly became my new favorite spot!
I'll definitely be back soon :))
I have been to the Rickey a few times, and while usually the service is good, I was really disappointed this time (in Dec 2024). We ordered food that never came—they just forgot about it entirely, and since they never came after bringing our drinks, we were finished before we could ask about it. The seating areas are a little cramped, but we had an extra stool at our table where we had placed our coats. A staff member came and asked if he could take the stool for another group, and he asked us if he could move our coats to another chair, in a corner near us, and he did. A little while later, a different staff member came by and told us we couldn’t have our coats there—where the other staff member had put them in the first place. They were obviously more worried about our coats than about getting our order right. There was also a woman who was filming video, using a bright light attachment on her phone. She kept walking back and forth around the lounge filming, the entire time we were there, shining the light in people’s faces and really killing the atmosphere. A few people complained, and she apologized, but she didn’t stop. When we finally saw our waiter and asked for our check, we waited for it almost fifteen minutes, and ultimately we had to ask the hostess for it. They seemed really disorganized, and not especially polite, which is not what I had experienced on other visits. The drinks themselves were fine, but not as well made as I’ve had there before, either. I think it’s coming off of my list of go-to places at this point.
