The Standard Grill

We first visited this place just over four years ago as my partner was set on having a lobster roll. She liked it so much that she insisted we visit again and it was just as good as the last time. I enjoyed the hand-made burger which was outstanding although we had no room for anything else! Lovely staff and good atmosphere (we were there at lunchtime and kids were welcome). Can really recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat having just come off the High Line or Little Island.

The dishes on the menu were not available, the waiter didn't really listen to the drinks, and little attention was paid. The atmosphere is very nice, especially at the bar and outside. The food was tasty, but very meat-heavy.

I’ve never felt more uneasy in a restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the hostesses didn’t smile or make us feel welcomed. Instead, they were giving us these cold, almost disgusted looks, which made us incredibly uncomfortable. When we asked for a table for two, they exchanged the nastiest looks before seating us right next to the host stand, as if we were an inconvenience.

Throughout the entire meal, both of them kept staring at us—how unprofessional! Every time I took a bite, I could see them in the mirror’s reflection, glaring at us with the most disgusted expressions. Really? Is this the level of service we’re supposed to expect? One of the girls was clearly new and, honestly, should be reconsidered for the job. That kind of attitude is just not acceptable.

As a former hostess myself, I understand the job can be tough, but there is no excuse for making guests feel unwelcome. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable, and I truly hope management addresses this.

We loved this place, the 'decor' was really nice, the staff was great, this was elegant without being posh.
The food was also absolutely well done, we would definitely come back in this restaurant if we are in the region.
Obviously it was a bit on the high side for price but nothing ridiculous either, so I thought it was worth every penny.

Note for information, we live in France most of the year so our 'standard' are really high, the The Standard Grill managed the exceed them ! Thanks again to the whole Team.

Attended an Octoberfest at the Standard. I had the Helles Beer.
It was so smooth and delicious. The Bratwurst with Sauerkraut was fantastic!

Food is great and the restaurant is so cute. The servers are really busy so we waited at least 10 min for our water and another 15 min to order the food. We also have to wait awhile for getting our check too. Other than that everything is good!

Choosing The Standard Grill to dine tonight was the best decision ever! The food was beyond exceptional, my partner had the Wagyu Bevette the chimichurri sauce over the steak was extremely savory and the baked potatoes were perfectly salted. I had the King Crab Linguini the taste was herbal but not to an obnoxious point. Analese our waitress was just the sweetest ever, great experience overall.

Our second time here. Parked right out front and easy to get seated. Food is delicious. The Monkey Bread is a must even though we didn’t order it this time we got the rainbow mimosa flight instead. Delicious fresh juices. Had to pa k the omelettes to go because they were so hearty. Definitely worth a walk outside of the Chelsea market.

Food was incredible. They are currently running a filet special and it was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and melted in my mouth. Also recommend the Penny Drop (elevated Moscow mule)

The food was spectacular! The steak for two was cooked perfectly! The sauce of peppercorn was exquisite! I also have to shout out to the Bar team: pepé, Benjamin and Sergio for taking care of me and my friends on my special day! Thank you team for always keeping up the amazing standard in food, drinks and warmth of service + hospitality!
