PROS: This place looked kind of upscale. Multiple rooms, appearance of a high end club, lots of places to sit and enjoy socializing. This place has space for events like karaoke along with a room meant for just dancing. The food tasted great and the music was up to date. CONS: We rented the place out for a company gathering and they ran out of glasses, beer, and wine according to many people. There was hardly any food being passed around and some of the rooms were too small. The staff was a little snobby to us as well OVERALL: Not a bad place to go to, but there are other clubs that would be a little more prepared to take on a business outing crowd of 50+ people.

I used to work for this company. I was violently assaulted by my manager there. He was arrested on site, but received no punishment from the company. I had to quit to protect myself. He still worked there. Do not patron this company unless you want to support people who protect abusers. Apparently they are racist too, I am unsurprised. Scared to post this review but f*** it, I'm tired of this s****

If you're looking for a place with great drinks, tacos, and music in the East Village, then this is the spot. There's no such thing as sitting still in your seat with the selection of music played here. I found myself singing along to every song ( sorry to the bartender that had to hear that catastrophe). The other great thing about this place is that they don't water down their drinks.... so have no fear. You'll get some bang for your buck. With the new laws in place for COVID, I ordered the tacos ( I mean you can't go wrong with tacos).... and I was right; they were tasty. This place is definitely good vibes.

The staff was incredible but the food all tasted like charred, burnt? Not a great place to eat, but the drinks were great.

Cool spot to lounge at.

Although I am not likely to be VNYL’s usual demographic (white woman, over 70), I was meeting my daughter and friends there, and I have to say I was SO welcomed, and the waitress with long red hair and tats was kind and solicitous, taking such good care of me and then, when my daughter and friend arrived, so lovely. So thanks and 4 stars for welcoming, for strong drinks and for fab fish tacos!!!

OK, so I couldn't help but noting review of DJ below. The management use to discriminate against paying the black entertainers? Really? New York is typically not that way (especially East Village) but I guess you know something I don't. If that did happen, that is very sad and wrong. My story is, I stopped by the other day. I had an appointment in Union Square. I remembered the place from a private birthday party I went to only in December. I loved it back then! Thought the place was great! Now they have outdoor seating so they are trying during hard times. Workers seemed to be nice.I bought a fish taco and drinks; saved food for a homeless guy who finally came by. It was pouring rain at that time. Three of us were under the awning with homeless guy. He was so hungry and ate taco in two bites. He was suppose to walk away with the food made to go. I offered to buy him another. I guess that was my mistake. He was just so skinny.Manager started to call me ma'am as a way to undermine me to get rid of him. She could have been smart and said, "Sir, we only serve paying patrons at our establishment and you were already given free food." That would have gone over perfectly and he would have understood. It's how she handled that I think bothered me. Nobody likes to be called ma'am at a bar. I just think an East Village Bar/Lounge Manager should have more expertise on how to handle different types of people and situations while still keeping paying customers happy. Overall I had a nice/OK time giving rating of a 3.

Supposedly one of Nyc best bars off 14th st. This place has been a place for me to DJ to my crowd. The staff is cool, however the management gives black entertainers the run around when it comes to getting paid for their gig. With up to 4/5 stories of the the same example. I think this venues deserves to never have live entertainment again. Furniture is very used and old. Best part is the balcony. I'll never bring my crowd here again. The drinks start at $16 a mocktail. Very sickening I no longer DJ in NYC cause of the bad experience with this club. Save yourself the money. Emailing, calling and texting the location doesn't solve the issue. However they found time to post #blacklivesmatter on social media.

I came here on my model friend's birthday and it was daylight saving. As i was thinking im arriving at 2am the clock jumped to 3am lol . So i had an hr to check out this place. It was fun. We danced and socialized and enjoyed our vip section on the 3rd floor. Great professional doorman and host at the door. I mentioned the name on the list and they found it right away after quickly checking my id and not making me wait. I probably would have thrown a fit if i arrive at a place and they making me wait lol. I know pretty bad from my part but they understand the vip experience. The bottle service was good.

Small place. Been there 3 times, and probably wouldn't go back. This last time it was dead. Bought entrance tickets in advance, which they didn't even ask for. One bartender needs a major attitude adjustment. This time and the last, he was extremely rude, to myself & others. You're a bartender; learn how to be friendlier & more personable. Drinks are very overpriced. Menu needs more options..

They don’t offer food to buy and to me it looks nothing like the pics the advertised of the place and it not enough restroom... I mean it’s literally one women’s room and one men’s bathroom with one stall in each and this club has three floors and if you have to go u have to come all the way down to the 1st floor and if it’s full to capacity then u will have to wait in a long line just to use the bathroom

Security could be better I walked right in no one was at the door checking anything. The place itself is nice enough space on the first floor, second floor is nice and cozy for a more intimate setting.

I loved this place for a really long time. Just came with 11 of my best friends for my birthday. The blonde woman made us ensure we'd buy a table when there was zero line. I've bought multiple tables here one the years and have LOVED everyone that have worked here until now. Super disappointed. Never going back.
