Delicious fresh fish is combined with tasty flavors like lime, truffle or seared poblano peppers to make each bite tasty and unique. We were recommended this place by our friends and it did not disappoint. Great service as well.

They have a very nice Omakase set at a reasonable price. The sashimi is very fresh, the rice could stand to be a little more firm.

I understand things need to move quickly because they want to turn and burn, but there was zero hospitality. You can be efficient without being rude. Better lighting at Home Depot. No part of this felt in line with a Japanese dining experience. Affordable, but embarrassing. The staff seems unhappy.

Great omakase for the price point. I had the matcha yuzu and that was good as well. They had some unique sushi pieces that I haven't tried before. Would love to come back again.

My experience at 13 Water was absolutely incredible! We booked our reservations earlier in the week for a Friday night and were fortunate enough to get a table.

The 13-piece sushi offering was sensational—easily some of the best sushi I have ever tried. The quality of the fish is outstandingly fresh, and you can truly taste the difference. The concept of having a three-person sushi chef station is super cool and adds to the unique atmosphere.

Beyond the food, the service was equally impressive. The staff provided quick and attentive service, which made the entire experience delightful.

My wife and I agreed this was one of the coolest dining experiences we've ever had. We are absolutely planning to go back to 13 Water! Highly, highly recommend.

This omakase spot in Alphabet City has been one that I kept hearing raving reviews about from my friends! With a cozy interior, it's the perfect spot for a date night. At $85 pp, it is 13 courses and offers nigiri, some handrolls, and a toast. I thought the quality of all the fish was delicious and loved the garnishes for each. I truly enjoyed their toro truffle, otoro toro caviar, and their toast. At the end of the course, we were still hungry so we got their spicy salmon handroll and their scallop uni, which were both amazing. I would note, however, that they are pretty strict with the 60 minute dining limit. As soon as we finished, they rushed us out the door so they could sit the next group. Wasn't the biggest fan of that as it made the dining experience feel rushed, but I also understand. Overall, great budget omakase and I can see why it's a favorite.

I want to preface, my overall experience was good. The staff and sushi chef were mostly attentive and majority of the fish was fresh. Unfortunately, I had a problem with their uni. Tasted metallic, very sewage-like. There were parts of the uni that were dull and grayish in color, but they still served it. I noticed that we were served the last portions of the uni container which further adds to my conclusion that the uni we were served was not fresh. Mind you my time slot was for 3pm, so a late lunch not even dinner. The manager (?) persistently mentioned that the uni is flown fresh every morning. She wasn’t rude by any means, but also didn’t show as much consideration as I had hoped. My expectations for customer service may have been too high. I felt almost shamed asking questions about the fish and speaking up about the taste and quality… For confirmation, I asked to try the uni on its own from the same box that we were served from. Tasted foul. Very disappointing because my expectations were very high and I love fresh uni. There are TOO many other places to enjoy omakase to fumble like this.

My review is not about the food, but about the customer service and management. I had to cancel my reservation due to a medical condition. I reached out multiple times by phone (no one answered) and by email, explaining my situation and asking if I could reschedule for another day or receive a credit for the cancellation fee. Instead, I received the same copied and pasted response citing their policy in THREE separate emails, with no empathy or effort to find a reasonable solution. I’m sure their food is wonderful but I’ll never know. Their lack of understanding and care for their guests circumstances completely turned me away.

Currently my favorite omakase in the city. Interesting flavors, fresh fish, reasonable prices. Getting a seat can be tough and you better stay on schedule, however the flavors can't be beat.

We had 9pm reservation ( party of 6 ) and didnt know they were closing at 10pm. We were supposed to be there at 9 but 2 of friends came late. 4 of us sat down but felt like the meal was rushed both chef and the servers. Food was good, not that impressed since the price was pretty cheap for omakase so I get it, no complain. Just felt like everything was rushed like they couldnt wait for us to leave. Wont be back

I came here for omakase and was thoroughly impressed. I’ve done a lot of omakase throughout NYC. This was one of my favorites. The pieces were delicious and super fresh. They came out very fast, one after the other showed up on our plate. The service was great. Definitely recommend.

Love the quality and menu for the price ($85/person and we did one handroll for $10), but it was kind of comical how fast they churned us in and out! They do seatings every hour so at 7:55 they were like BYE haha. I'd come back though, everything was so delicious.
