Delish onigiri and FILLING. So many varieties to choose from and fun bevvies on the menu (we got the matcha which was solid and the black sesame latte which was delish).

No room to sit inside though and ordering gets a bit cramped, but they have 1 table outside so it’s more of a to go or eat on the street set up.

One of the best things about this place is the service. Even though you order online, the waitstaff is very attentive. Food is good - the shrimp appetizer was my favorite!

There is no room inside this place, which wasn't a huge issue but I wasn't expecting it. The food itself was just okay. They used canned salmon and it was dry, but the overall taste was nice.

I ordered my food at the wrong location and they were able to let me pick it up from the one closer to me. Excellent customer service!

So unique, quality and neighbourhood energy!!! The creamy iced matcha latte was SO good. I don’t know what they do to it but man, they crushed it. It was so delightful.

The salmon + avocado onigirazu was 🔥. They are made fresh-to-order. Really nice portion size too!

Basically to-go only. The interior is super small, barely enough to order. But there’s a table / bench outside and the park is super nearby.

Unique east village lunch / drink spot.

The food is tasty and well balanced, but the matcha quality seems to have decreased. This color for a $7 or $8 matcha is actually crazy

Tokuyamatcha & Onigirazu for me make the best karage chicken onigiri. I will definitely come back to eat more of them. They are delicious and full of flavor. 5/5 stars deserved.

Aside from them not really having anywhere to sit besides the small bench and table outside, EVERYTHING was delicious. I've tried a few of them and not disappointed yet. Will be going back more when the weather gets nice.

A very tiny shop available for take out only or if the weather is nice, customers can find a seat outside. The shop has a variety onigirazu which you can find one you love to eat and they are delicious. The service is friendly and fast.

I was eating damn near an onigiri a day on my Japan trip, and my soul needed to find a good comp in ny. Tokuyamatcha & Onigirazu Bar fulfilled and surpassed all my cravings.

It’s a hole in the wall in the east village that only slangs 2 things: Matcha and Onigirazu.
I’m really not a matcha guy if we are keeping it a buck, so I was just here for the onigirazu, which is essentially just a flattened onigiri.

They pride themselves on freshly made sandwiches with quality ingredients, and it shows. These were delicious.

I got two sandwiches cuz I’m a tank, and they were the karaage chicken with mayo and the beef & ginger with chili oil. Beef and Ginger ended up being my favorite as the meat was so tender (pause) and the chili oil packed a nice punch. This is my new go to spot for a quick bite.

The riceballs are very good but be prepared for the following: no seats (stand outside or take away), you will need lots of napkins ( the saucier the ball the messier), and a long line.

Place your order and wait outside, as there is no space inside. Matcha is great. Ordered the spam/egg and shrimp tempura sandwiches. Tasted decent, but you don’t get any more filling than you do a normal onigiri that sells for $4-5, while they charge $12 for this.
