The pizza was spectacular and the margarita slice is certainly a favorite of mine. If I ever revisit New York, Tonda will most definitely be on my itinerary.
A minor critique is that Tonda Pizza either accepts cash transactions at specific hours of the day or doesn't accept cash at all. It is a small nitpick which is rather insignificant, and in no way distracts from the quality of food or service.

A cheap way to consume calories in NY is to eat pizza. Accordingly, there are dozens of shops. We tried a few and found that they all offer the same ovens, the same dough and the same ingredients. There may be small variations here and there. Nevertheless, they all taste delicious.

I pass TONDA Pizza daily on my way to the gym, and when they first opened a few months ago, I was more than a little suspicious. I New York is full of “pizza places,” and most of them are frankly terrible. I figured this one would be no different. But, I’ll admit, I had to change my mind after giving it a try. They make these small round pizza with a variety of toppings. they might have sold their soul a bit with some of the ingredients (looking at you, pepperoni), but if you pick the right toppings, the pizza is actually pretty tasty. And the price is reasonable. the place itself isn’t exactly inviting. They’ve got a few small tables inside, and when the weather’s nice, a couple outside. It’s more of a grab-and-go or quick-bite spot than a place you linger. Butfor a good, quick pizza I’ll definitely be back.

Cashier lady was rude and the guy making my sandwich was using his phone while making it!! ? cross-contamination exists. Their prices are not that low, they should offer a better customer service and food handling service as well ?

I’m a bit divided on this place. We ordered one of their pinsas that’s a personal pie and it’s nice that they’ll split them in half so you get to try two. It’s certainly different with the crust more an airy flatbread than a traditional pie and I guess I just wasn’t a huge fan. If we’d just had that, it’d be three stars for me. Fortunately they were redeemed with one of their traditional slices, which was a solid bite.

Not sure if I would recommend this place for anybody. The staff wasn’t very friendly and the pizza was just okay, nothing more.

The pizza is good... shame about the less than "courteous" staff, the cashier to be precise . Remember that tourists should always be treated well even when they ask you to politely repeat what you asked in a hasty and annoyed manner. I wouldn't go back just for this reason!

Very tasty pizza slices and pinsa. The base is nice and crispy, topped with fresh ingredients. There are several small tables with chairs on the sidewalk in front of the shop, and inside there is a counter with stools at the window front. The staff was very friendly. Unfortunately we were so hungry and the pizza was so delicious that we didn't even take any pictures ??
