The place is beautiful, well decorated and feels good. Food is bellow avarege, the wine tasted horrable, we could not finish a glass. The margarita was also awful.

I decided to take my fiance to our first dinner in the upper west side since we moved in.

We couldn’t ask for anything better. The quality of the food as well as the customer service was spot-on.

Looks like this will be our go to dinner spot moving forward.

Love this place for visiting with old friends...we come here 2x a year and always request our favorite seat. Its very cozy and you can talk amongst yourselves without having to shout...thats really nice. Also all the meals are great. I have to say I always enjoy my meal but this time I asked if I could have the fish that they usually serve in a red sauce...to make it in a white sauce. It wasn't that great..honestly...but every other meal, ive had (again we've been meeting 3 or so years) has been great. And my husband and friend did enjoy the fish in the red sauce. However, me personally, i I will stick with the chicken or veal dishes....the clams oreganato as an appetizer were delish too!! And calamari appe...good too!!

we had the nicest waiter however the wine selection is pretty poor and the bread was stale the salad was good and the fish was good enough and the broccoli Rabe was very good However I do not think I would return

Seems like not popular for Saturday lunch. Only one other table while we were there. The fettuccine alfredo was tasteless. The caesar salad was tiny. The fungi panino was very good. One of us ordered prosecco. He said it was too sweet. Maybe better for dinner?

Excellent as ever! One of our favorite restaurants! Everything is fresh and well-prepared. Perennial winners are the Caesar salad, Mediterranean salmon, all pastas, the salad and chicken specials, Save room for dessert--tartufo or the Sea Salt Caramel gelato. Thoughtful, friendly service, pleasant atmosphere.

Our first time at Trattoria Il Gusto was very pleasant and delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Our server Fidan was attentive and helpful. We plan to bring family and friends back next week. The Kale Caesar Salad was flavorful and fresh. My husband and I enjoyed both of our entrees of Cacio E Peppe and Chicken Parmigiana. It's now a neighborhood favorite of ours!

Staff, ambiance and food always great, and we keep coming back. It's a special neighborhood go to for our family.

I had a reservation for Saturday at 5 PM and was very much looking forward to the experience, as it came highly recommended by a trusted friend. Our meal began pleasantly—the calamari appetizer was delightfully light, airy, and crispy.However, the service we received was disappointing. While we were still enjoying our appetizer, a staff member asked if we had finished, despite the plate being nearly full. It gave the impression that we were being rushed. Later, when our pasta dishes arrived, I requested additional bread for the table. The same gentleman (I use that term loosely)visibly grimaced and replied, “I already brought you bread.” I clarified i am aware we wanted more, to which he responded, “I’ll bring you more bread, but I’m going to charge you.”
This exchange felt unnecessarily dismissive and unprofessional. While I understand there may be policies regarding additional items, the tone and manner in which this was communicated did not align with the warm and welcoming service I expected from your establishment.
