I ordered from here on Grubhub on a Saturday night around 7pm. I got two plates, carne guisada and pernil. The carne guisada was lukewarm, really hard and the rice was too. Not sure if it was undercooked or just old food that sat out all day. The pernil had a weird texture and the flavor was off, for a second I thought I was eating shredded beef. The rice on that plate was hard too, same batch of rice apparently. The beans were 85% liquid with 15% beans in the container. Pretty disappointing meal overall. I won’t be ordering from Tropical Dominican Restaurant again.

I like either to stay to eat on this place, atmosphere inside this business is incredible, you can feel you're eating at your house. You can really go with your own family, prices for the food are very reasonable, I do really recommend this place with my eyes close.

The food was very bad, the chop was very hard, I called and they left the phone open because I complained, restaurants like this cannot be at the service of people, the food is very horrible... not like that please, the customer deserves the best possible attention .

So they delivered the wrong food to me and the driver says it’s the stores fault. I reach out the store they apologized for the inconvenience and informed me they will be sending out my soup and hot chocolate since I am sick like a dog. 30 minutes later I reached out and they said sorry you have to place another order…horrible customer service will be reporting you on every delivery platform this is horrible customer service to say the least

I recently moved to the neighborhood and have been excited to try this place. What a disappointment! Everything was incredibly dry and overseasoned - maybe to mask poor ingredients??? Pernil mofongo crumbled and had no discernable pork flavor at all. Costillas al horno jueves was like grey shoe leather. Crab pastelistos was, 1 - an empanada, and 2 - almost empty! One bite opened the air-filled center and the meager contents actually tumbled out! I counted 2 pieces of crab approximately 1 cm. Even the tres leche! Evidently a grocery store sheet cake soaked on the bottom in sweetened condensed milk. And yes, the top 1/2 CRUMBLED. Never again.
