Awesome experience. Great service, ambiance, and food. We had to leave just a few minutes early to catch a broadway show and they were so accommodating. The uni dish and the soufflé for dessert with potato chip ice-cream was certainly a highlight. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to switch it up from an omakase or other similar dining experience.
My boyfriend and I booked this place for our Christmas dinner. The set up of the restaurant was kind of weird since we were sitting right across the counter from other customers, but that did not affect dinner negatively.

The service was spectacular and there was a little matcha making show at the end. I was not a huge fan of the matcha since I am so used to my Hojicha/barley tea towards the end of dinner to help digest, so matcha was a little weird.

One of my favorite restaurants in NYC, and definitely my favorite Japanese restaurant. Tucked in the East Village at 12 per seating, it is an intimate environment with low noise and attentive staff. The service, food, and details are well-curated. The best time to visit is Fall or Winter where the flavors are more striking. Authentic Japanese palate, and not overcompensating like other similar restaurants do. Delicately balanced❤️

I love coming here!
