BEST MEAL I’ve had in my entire life! I don’t say that lightly because we’ve eaten in Michelin restaurants all over the world. I can honestly honestly say that was the most spectacular food I have ever had. The cocktails were great and the service was outstanding. I’d go here every night if I could!

Came here as a party of 2 in May of 2024. I love how dimly lit the restaurant was and it really enhanced my atmosphere at the bar.

The Scallion Puffs are on the house and is definitely one of the best on the house starters that I ever had. The eggs and scallop appetizers were excellent teasers to our main dishes. Both were bite sized, packed a surprising amount of flavor, and left us wanting more.

The mains are on the smaller size. I got the Lamb while my friend got the Snow Crab. Both were like enlarged appetizers. Each were extremely tasty but still left us wanting a bit more. The Beignets were a cute, pleasant finisher.

Overall, the experience and dishes were spectacular. Big eaters will be asking for larger portions, but I will definitely come back for the special occasion.

Their chicken was so good! I had no idea how they made it so juicy inside. I also like their chocolate mousse a lot.

Not a Michelin star experience.
Food was very good.
The service, seating and serving of food and wine were not to our expectations.

The restaurant week appetizers were all phenomenal and creative. My personal favorite appetizer was the watermelon with ricotta--that was likely the best bite of watermelon I've had in my entire life.

Entrees and desserts were more standard dishes but very well-executed and delicious.

Tuome in the East Village is a hidden gem! Tucked away on a quiet side street with simple decor, we were initially a bit skeptical. But the moment we stepped inside, the pleasantly cool interior was a welcome contrast to the 30°C heat outside.

There’s no set menu, but a small, carefully curated à la carte selection that encourages a delicious three-course meal. The whole quail starter was a surprise highlight, and the octopus was incredibly well prepared – tender and flavorful.

For mains, the lamb chops were outstanding – perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The crab noodles were also a hit, light but rich in taste. A great selection of wines by the glass, all reasonably priced for NYC (under $25 per glass), rounded out the meal beautifully.

We finished with both of the available desserts to share – and were not disappointed. The profiterole-style dessert with ice cream, caramel, and orange marmalade was heavenly, and the nutty chocolate mousse was rich and satisfying.

A truly wonderful dining experience – refined but unpretentious. Highly recommended!

Tuome is one of my favorites in all of NYC! Can’t go wrong with any of their items - esp the Snow crab noodles, Pig out (for two), the Octopus starter, and the EGGS 🥚❤️

I come here for date nights and it’s always AMAZING

This is an approachable Michelin 1 star restaurant so it’s overall got above average food but do not expect a world class experience. I’ve been to non Michelin restaurants that are certainly better food and atmosphere wise. The restaurant is terribly cramped, the staff seem stressed, and the food is good but not memorable. You could easily mistake it for a hole in the wall restaurant.

We visited Tuome (pronounced Taw-meh) on our wedding anniversary. The place is cozy with some feeling of sophistication. They do not impose a dress code, but do yourself a favor and show up dressed up; with the price you’ll be paying, you might as well dress the part.

We were seated on the left side of the entrance door for a table for two. I found the spot perfect for a date night; we have a bit of privacy with the rest of the diners.

We started with a bottle of white wine from Portugal and ordered the dim sum tower. While waiting for it, we were served with an amuse bouche of ricotta poppy seed with round bread. It was a perfect start for our dinner.

For the dim sum tower, it consisted of 4 pairs of different dim sum, mostly seafood. We particularly enjoyed the crispy lobster roll; it was also presented very nicely. Additionally there were scallop tarts, and shrimp crystal dumplings.

For our main entree, we ordered the pig out, which is good for two people. It was crispy pork belly served with peanut noodles and a veggies salad with walnuts. They accommodated our request to change the dressing as we are not fans of walnuts.

The pork belly was cooked to perfection, and the flavors complemented each other. The service here is impeccable. It was a perfect place for our wedding anniversary; we truly enjoyed our dinner here.

Phenomenal dinner! Located in the LES, Tuome is known as one of the most affordable Michelin experiences. The interior of the restaurant is cozy, service is amazing, and I would highly highly recommend a reservation.

To start your meal, you're given complimentary puffed scallion bread with ricotta, which was amazing, light, and I loved the seasoning on the ricotta. We ordered quail and hamachi as our starters and I thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. The quail was (surprisingly) presented whole, but it was really easy to eat and full of flavor. The hamachi came out on skewers and was a diy-wrap experience, which was super fun (I would have appreciated if they gave us wipes for our hands or something though). I loved the sauces and garnishes that came with the hamachi and it was so fun to eat. For mains, we got the lamb and seafood clay pot. Both were stellar and I highly recommend the seafood clay pot. We ended our meal with Chinese beignets paired with red bean ice cream and a citrus puree. Loved the meal, and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Tuome is such a gem in the East Village. The vibe is intimate and cozy—perfect for a date night or catching up with friends over great food and actually being able to hear each other.

The food was incredible. The deviled eggs were a standout, as was the side of broccoli (surprisingly addictive). The desserts were a hit, too. My personal favorites were the lobster rice dish and the crab pasta—both rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The quail was a favorite among my friends, and the chef’s plate that was brought out (scallops and hummus?) was absolutely delicious.

Service was top notch—attentive without being overbearing, and we never felt rushed. Overall, a thoughtful and memorable dining experience. Will definitely be back.

It's actually outrageous to me that there are 1 star reviews of this place. The food was exceptional. I'm low key obsessed with my server, super helpful and cool. The drinks were to die for. My side dish was the least impressive and it was still excellent! I will be back and have already recommended it to people.

Tuome has been on my list for quite some time, and I was thrilled to finally book a table. The restaurant offers a cozy, intimate atmosphere with dim lighting that sets the perfect mood. As expected, the waitress cautioned me about the amount of food I ordered, but here's what I tried:

- Quail: An absolute must-order! Perfectly marinated and bursting with flavor--I loved every bite.

- Scallop Dumpling: Delicious, with the foie gras adding an excellent touch of richness.

- Dim Sum Tower: A pricier option with 8 pieces total. The shrimp toast was my favorite--a modern, Asian-fusion twist on traditional dim sum.

- Snow Crab Noodles: Creamy, buttery, and absolutely delicious. A standout dish!

- Pig Out: Served with peanut butter noodles, which surprised me as I usually don't enjoy peanut butter in savory dishes--but these were fantastic. The crispy pork, however, was a bit too salty for my taste. I honestly prefer the crispy pork belly in Chinatown.

- Broccoli: A great side dish with the perfect amount of vegetables. Delicious, though not as spicy as advertised.

- Fire in the Sky: An excellent cocktail--highly recommend it.

- Chinese beignets: Delightfully light and airy, pairing perfectly with the creamy vanilla ice cream and a touch of red bean. The flavors were beautifully balanced--a must-try dessert!

I'd definitely return to explore more of the menu. Overall, everything was quite good, with a few standout dishes I'd happily order again.
