Cozy spot but the food lacks big time.. The prices are also lower than most places because the portion size is smaller, dont let it fool you. Had husband and wife dish.. the texture and flavor was not there, dan dan noodle had like 4 pieces of minced meat on top and sauce was too sweet, wontons in chili oil were decent with fresh garlic, and the duck dish for $20 was actually very good.

The place overall is ok, nice vibe but if you want good food this is not it, I wont be going back.

Went to Twilight Lounge yesterday as a group of 4 - we had a great time. When we got in, we immediately noticed the atmosphere - it wasn't too loud, and the decor was nice.

The surpassed our expectations though.

We ordered several things, the cucumber and wood ear appetizers, braised fish, crab and egg tofu, pork belly, bok choy, stir fried potato. I was surprised when all of the dishes were good - when ordering so many dishes usually there's something that's not well seasoned etc.

I enjoyed them all but was surprised by how good the bok choy was - tons of garlic, very flavorful and cooked just right.

The person serving us was also very nice.

I just want to express my appreciation for I believe it was Wan who served both me and my friend yesterday during lunchtime. My friend was visiting home from Maryland and Wan was very attentive and charismatic to us (and recommended my friend things to eat when he goes back to Maryland for college!). The lunch set was honestly the best set and deal I have seen around NYU and I would definitely bring my friends from NYU to eat here since it is so much better than eating instant ramen or from the dining halls on campus. My friend and I were especially in awe of the sauce used for the spring rolls and we would definitely come back not just for Wan but also for the delicious lunch set. Thank you, twilight lounge for making two college kids' fall break wonderful.

Came here for a late lunch and left with a pretty hefty bill. The place was clean and was pretty modern—service was decent as well.

We ordered suan cai yu, which they used flounder as the fish. The fish was a bit flakey and didn’t taste amazing but the broth was good. It wasn’t too oily like some other places so that was a plus.

We also had the crab roe tofu which was pretty good as my partner reallly liked it. And had the seasonal vegetable stir fry which was simple but delicious.

For the price we paid after tax + tip I expected higher quality food but overall I’m not super mad about it because the portion sizes are good.

This place was unexpectedly so good! We tried so many dishes, and everything was full of flavor. My favorite was the Duck Fried Rice — rich and perfectly cooked — and the Spicy Fried Fish was another must-try. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for great Thai food with a cozy vibe!

The best Chinese food spot in the East Village! Twilight Lounge never disappoints — they serve incredibly yummy dishes like the wok green beans, braised beef tendon, and Cong Qing chicken. Everything is packed with flavor and beautifully cooked.

They also have an excellent selection of cocktails, wine, and sake that pair perfectly with the food. And don’t skip dessert — the fried milk custard, fried banana, and Mango Sorbet are absolutely a must-try! Cozy atmosphere, great service, and amazing food all around. Highly recommended!
