The food was delicious and much better in person. My only disappointment was with takeout: I specifically requested extra spicy, but my girl said it wasn’t spicy at all. Still, it’s a great spot and I’m really sad to hear they’ll be closing at the end of the month. Definitely worth visiting before they close.
Honestly, this tiny Manhattan spot completely ruined other noodle joints for me. The bowls look incredible—glistening red chili oil swirling around fresh green onions and tender, slow-braised beef. But the indulging aroma and taste is where it really shines; those house-made rice noodles have the ultimate springy chew, soaked in a rich, spicy broth with a killer Hunan pepper kick. Slurping it down is messy as hell, but worth every single chili oil stain.
Really good and authentic Hunan food! Everything was flavorful and fresh, and the spicy dishes had just the right kick. Definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants I’ve tried. Will definitely come back!
