Delicious Italian! Everything that I’ve ordered here is on point, I enjoyed every single bite from the complimentary Italian bread, appetizers, salad, main course, dessert and drink. Definitely recommend this place for whoever is looking for the original Italian cuisine and you will be amazed!! Thumbs up.

Ate here for the first time. Excellent service. Would consider trying again until I found my favorite dish(es.) Reading other's reviews, it seems the menu hasn't changed in some time, including "the specials." That ravioli sauce is straight butter -- I dipped bread in it. The atmosphere gives italian family comfort slash speak easy glamour though understated on both and neither of these.

Good restaurant with some drawbacks. The restaurant is recommended by the Michelin guide (no star). I can't fully understand this. The calamari friti and the homemade papardelle with oxtail ragout tasted good, but not outstanding. The ragout lacked a bit of depth. In Germany no Michelin recommendation would have been made. The restaurant is very poorly lit and incredibly loud, making it difficult to have a conversation even with two people. We were led to the table and, still standing in our jackets, we were asked what water we wanted to drink. Everything is far too hectic. We would visit the restaurant again.

Impeccable service, but the dishes are not at all worthy of the Italian flavors as we know them in Europe.Stop by if you're looking for real Italian cuisine

Super cozy-hipster-shabby modern Italian eatery - perfect for a nice, sit down lunch. I ordered the Prix Fixe (it was a Sunday) lunch, which had solid choices available at only $30. What a deal! I started with the mozzarella and prosciutto - a large portion for a set menu; very impressed. My wife has an absolutely light and delicious arugula salad dressed with lemon and thin Parmesan slices. Yum! I had a unique, creative, and delicious pesto, made with almonds; different but excellent - and another huge prix fixe portion. My wife's amatriciana was well made and full of flavor. Impossible to finish it was so much! Top notch service and perfect pacing. Finish your meal with a nice Italian espresso, and face the day.

Tonight I was at Ulivo restaurant with a friend to celebrate my birthday’s dinner. As I walked in I got welcomed by Enza, the manager and I was gently asked if I wanted to get a drink at the bar before getting seated. Drinks at the bar were top notch. After going to our table for dinner, we were greeted by Darja, our waitress. She went through the special and gave us some suggestion. After deciding the wine, the co-owner and chef Emanuel, from Sardinia, Italy, came to the table to greet us as well and asked if we had any food allergies. What can I tell you. From there, it only got better.Everything was an explosion of Italian flavors. The food was outstanding, we tried the meat and cheese board, freshly cut at the moment. Then homemade meatballs, eggplant parmigiana, fried calzone and homemade ravioli and cannelloni as a main courses. We also had some desserts and grappa to finish the dinner. It was too good to be true. I’ll definitely return anytime. Thank you Chef Emanuel for your hospitality and to bring the authentic Italian cuisine to New York.Grazie Ulivo.
