Chinese restaurant in Greenwich Village a stone's throw from the subway station and Union Square. Excellent friendly and efficient service in a modern environment with soft lighting, fresh and clean. Tasty, abundant, spicy and some very spicy dishes. It's worth a pleasant and relaxing dinner. Prices in line with restaurants in the category.N.B.: Here too, as in all the clubs in New York, you will be accompanied by an imaginary friend to whom you will have to pay the bill (I mean the additional cost of service and tip)... to level the playing field we should start charging tourists for this tax Americans in Italy.

I have ordered from my fair share of Chinese over the years from everywhere in NYC. However, I keep coming back to Uncle Ted's time and time again, and it is simple. It is because Uncle Ted's is worth every penny because of the consistent quality AND taste. I have had their dinner specials, lunch specials, dumplings, soup and egg rolls ALL OF WHICH has always been delicious, fresh and perfect! No NOTES! Honestly, some of the greatest quality tasting Chinese cuisine in NYC.MY ONLY critique is specials do not come with a fried rice option. Perhaps they do over the phone or in person but online it is white or brown rice option ONLY and fried rice is a specialty side order. I wish I could get fried rice with my specials or as apart of any main.

Had the lunch special for 15 dollars, which for the portion size was a solid deal in Manhattan. Never had egg drop soup before and was thus a little apprehensive, but I really enjoyed it! Good place for a quick sit down bite.

used to be favorite place for ordering food for pickup.when calling back order issue, restaurant hang up on me twice due connection issues, while i can hear them clearly, even people in backgeound, while tried explain food is inedible.third time calling when try to explain order issue, manager kept interrupting me with lies and wanted to make it my issue and prolonged it as much possible. basicly straight up lie.threatened me with his shift almost over and would stop assisting me. very very rude, listened only when i rised my voice in order them to hear better. but kept interrupting.another issue is, when you get there for pickup, they let sit all mobile orders pickups in lobby, whilst the entrance is blocked, if you want check your order. very hard get trough.was wondering why food get suddenly spicy, without fork or chopsticks put. spicy and very very salty. just give to customer and dont worry about.never coming back

We came into Uncle Ted's on a mission. The mission: satisfy our hunger/craving for really good Cantonese food. Cue Uncle Ted's. We were quickly seated on a Thursday evening even though the place was pretty lively. Uncle Ted's has a great drink selection and my old fashioned came with a demo as it was smoked table side, a very nice surprised. Now I told you we came hungry, and it showed when we ordered. The spread consisted of: Scallion pancakes Double cooked spicy pork Eggplant in spicy garlic sauce Shrimp Chow Fun Shrimp fried rice Each dish just as good as the next. We thought we might have over ordered but honestly the portions were just right. We did have a little bit left which was put together in to go containers and we disbursed those among the group. Great meal, great restaurant, great time all around.

House special fried rice is the bomb. Highly recommend it for $18. Quick turn around for mobile orders and food is fresh.

I had really wanted to try this place for awhile so I placed an order with Uber Eats. For some reason, the lunch specials won't be active on their menu until 1130 which was annoying because I wanted to order my lunch a little sooner because I had a zoom meeting. I ordered one egg roll and the lunch special of chicken with cashew nuts. Because I ordered an egg roll, I skipped the soup. My food arrived and without requested house duck sauce and mustard (the little packages you get from most take-out places). I take a bite of my egg roll and it has a slightly weird aftertaste but I was hungry so I finished it. My food was later than I expected so I waited until after my meeting to eat the chicken with cashew nuts. I open up the container and it was not what I ordered. It looked like kung pao chicken. I took a taste and I was correct, plus I saw peanuts and not cashews in it. I was disappointed and contacted Uber Eats and got a refund. I may or may not give them another try because maybe in the restaurant the food might be better.

if you're thinking of ordering food for delivery from Uncle Ted's, DON'T. The last time we ordered, it took almost two hours for our food to arrive. I called the restaurant multiple times but got nowhere with them. And now we are waiting almost an hour for tonight's order, which was suppose to arrive in 30 minutes. no apology. No credit. and they have the nerve to charge $3 for delivery.

came in on a whim. ordered ma pu tofu on a whim and had the best dish that i had never had before....ever! absolutely delish. i did ask to tone down the heat to 7 if possible and i cant imagine i would have enjoyed it as much with a heat index of 10. the waiter was great, very personable and forthcoming (not so much the waitress who initially seated me right next to a couple in an almost empty restaurant!) all in all - very pleased and will come back when im in ny again. will recommend!

My partner wanted a "hollywood" like NYC Chinese restaurant experience. Little place run by a family, with the standard American Chinese fare (nothing too different). We found it here and what was even better - the food was fantastic. I had the wonton soup, we shared pork soup dumplings and we shared chicken loh mein and shrimp and broccoli

My wife and I suddenly became frequent patrons of this establishment and we have yet to be disappointed. The dishes are served super timely and it's delicious.Parking: Meters are readily available most times.
