This restaurant was highly recommended to me and I was excited to try it. We arrived before opening and patiently waited until they opened. The hostess was Incredibly rude and snooty when I informed her that I didn’t have a reservation. She told me if we promised to be quick she could seat us. Which we were. We were visiting NYC and staying across the street from Upland restaurant at the Hotel Giraffe. We checked TripAdvisor and read the good reviews so decided to try Upland. Wow what a great place. The restaurant has a lovely decor, the staff was amazing and very attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. We loved it so much we made reservations for another night during our stay. They know how to do it right.
Always reliably good with a versatile menu where most people will find something they like. Gorgeous interior, decent service. Never had a bad meal here.
