First time ever coming here and it’s definitely not going to be my last ! The fact that it’s so close to my job but the ice cream is phenomenal! And the customer service is excellent beyond words. Thank you van leeuwen ice cream !
The ice cream is amazing! This place is a must if you are in town
Hand scooped ice cream with freshly made waffle cones. Delicious!
They are always out of chocolate and mint chip. Who’s out of chocolate? Somebody needs to go back to business school and take operations management 101 again.
I recently hosted a work event here and it was a big hit. The employees provided very fast and friendly service. The ice cream was rich and there were many great flavors to try.
This location is normally not very busy so if you're a fan of Van Leeuwen, I would highly recommend stopping by this location.
Literally ran out OF EVERY FLAVOR except cookies and cream. Waited in line for ages, totally understaffed and employees overworked and rightfully grouchy.
Honey comb is good, especially the tiny crunchy honey pieces. Earl grey tea and coffee were both average and skippable for me, you can try some samples, I got a few to try before buying!
I like supporting this chain, but I had a very bizarre experience with an employee named Regan. I asked for a very small milkshake, and said I would pay the same price, but could they just make it much smaller. They said that was not possible that it was corporate policy. I didn’t ask for no plastic lid, but they again said I had to take a plastic lid because it was corporate policy and the Van Buren tradition to have a plastic lid on every milkshake. I’m simply against waste and the use of plastic and was trying to do well by the environment.
You haven't tasted incecream until you've tried Van Leeuwen's! The peanut butter&brownie flavor is to die for. Staff friendliness depends on the store but the taste of the icecream makes up for it!
I don’t get it. I know it’s popular but It just not for me. Maybe my tastes aren’t sophisticated enough. My favorite ice cream at the store is Hagen Daz but if I am in Ohio. Omg. Graeters from Cincinnati is primo! If you are ever visiting Dave C in Yellow Springs Ohio go to YOUNGS DAIRY. AT ANTIOCH COLLEGE DURING THE 1960s 70s YOUNGS DAIRY WAS DAIRY HEAVEN.

I visited Van Leeuwen with my son, who has multiple severe allergies. I informed the staff, and I want to give a heartfelt thank you to Emil and Melinique for their outstanding support. They were incredibly kind, careful, and attentive, making sure my son felt safe and included. Their professionalism and warmth turned what is usually a stressful experience for us into a joyful one. I’m deeply grateful and will absolutely be coming back. Thank you for making our day!
Van Leeuwen always has a nice selection of vegan ice cream choices, clearly labeled. This branch is comfy, with a few nice places to sit and enjoy your treat.
One of my favorite spots for ice cream in the city is Van Leeuwen at 258 W 16th St. I’m especially obsessed with their chocolate ice cream with honey roasted almonds — such a perfect combo. They’ve got tons of flavors to try, awesome milkshakes, and options to take home too. Always a treat stopping by here!
