This is a gem in the Village. Always great food and a comfortable atmosphere. This is our go to place in the Village.
You are welcomed into the restaurant like family. The food is delicious. The value is unmatched anywhere else. But the most impressive part is that you are treated like a family member during the entire experience.
Excellent, old-fashioned, elegant Italian restaurant. Outstanding home-made pasta, reasonably priced menu featuring a nice variety of appetizers, meat and fish dishes, impeccable service. If you're looking for something trendy and cool, this is probably not the place for you, but if you're looking for reliably good food and drink in a charming, well-appointed dining room with a pleasant neighborhood vibe, I highly recommend Villa Mosconi.
Excellent restaurant. The homemade pasta is delicious, and the calves liver was tender and in a beautiful sauce. The wait staff was helpful and attentive, without making us feel rushed. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Google review said 4.8 for the food rating, we got there in a big over lite almost empty room at 8:3 on a Saturday night and outside the streets were hopping. Really boring xerox menus, an eggplant parm that I couldn't eat. It was brought out in around 3 minutes and tasted like the eggplant was leftover from last week and some soggy cheese was melted on top. I even found the cheese soggy and I'm not someone who complains in a restaurant or a foodie at all. It was depressing BUT you could hear each other because it was empty. The good news.
I hosted my birthday here and was very happy. For a 4 course meal it was $75/person. They had a lovely back patio with heaters for us (group of about 10). Highly recommend.
All the food was delicious. Can’t go wrong with what you order.

We've been going to Villa Mosconi for years, and continue to love it. It's big enough for large family groups, and the old world service is wonderful. Don't be put off by the artwork on the walls. The food is excellent, always lots of specials, and always the classic Italian dishes.
Best Italian food you might come by. There’s a restaurant down the block on the same block MacDougal Street that is no good. It starts with MONT.

Without a doubt, the best Italian food I have ever had. The restaurant was not extremely busy at the time we were there. The service was exceptional. The atmosphere is perfect for the old Italian feel. Prices are very reasonable. Our story, We stumbled on to the Villa Mosconi totally by accident on our first anniversary 9 years ago. At the time we were in NYC for a business trip. My wife's meeting ran late, we missed out on our reservations elsewhere, so we ventured out from our hotel and found this gem of a restaurant. Fast forward 8 years. We find ourselves back in NYC on a family trip with my sister and very Italian brother in law. After 3 days around Time Square my brother in law wanted some "Good Italian food". I suggested we try to find the great little place we are at years ago while staying near Soho. After some looking and back tracking we determined this was the place we enjoyed so much, many years ago. We spent the day exploring the city. Walking almost 9 miles by the time we reached our final destination for the day, The Villa Mosconi. We had a great meal and a wonderful experience. Thank you to everyone there! I recommend this place to everyone going to the Big Apple. It's worth the trip.
Very quiet cozy Italian restaurant in Greenwich Village. Wide range of choices and specials offered. Caesar salad was excellent and my Veal Marsala could have been more tender. Overall good experience and will return next time we are in the neighbors
