The cod was well-seasoned and tender, and I really liked it! 🙌 However, I regret not trusting our friend Michael's review. He said, “I spent $60 for 8 pieces of low-quality sushi drowned in soy sauce. It was insanely overpriced, and I will not return.” and he was right

It’s a pity that Obanzai has been discontinued for months. Lunch set is still of great value, nice sake selections, and the matcha ice cream is surprisingly good.

Joe was outstanding with his sushi and offered great conversation. Wano is a great dining experience!

Fantastic experience for a romantic dinner. We sat at the bar and the sushi chef immediately started a welcoming rapport describing the drinks and menu items. We had delicious sushi a la carte and fantastic sake. Highly recommend for a nice dinner and sitting at the bar to get to know the amazing staff here.

The menu is completely different to what’s on Google Maps. The real menu is far less authentic/ appealing and has a higher price range.

Lunch set is valued. Fresh vegetables and fishes. But chicken katsu is a bit overcooked. One of our sashimi set has fish bones and scales tendon which surprised me a lot.

One of the best dining experiences I have had in NY. The food was so fresh. The service was beyond exceptional. The portion sizes were perfect. The servers also gifted my Fiancé and I some whiskey tastings on the house! If you manage to make it out there, ask to be served by Henry!

Really friendly staff and great environment but I have to say the new menu is completely different and not as appealing. The sushi chef was a sweet person but the rice should have much more vinegar

Amazing sushi and Japanese food! Would definitely go back!

Food was very good but service was lacking. Our plates were brought out at separate times with significant gaps between the two of us. At the end of lunch we were the last table still there and still had to request our bill.

I was too shocked to take a picture. I found a plastic wrap that’s bigger than my hand in my chirashi bowl.. at first I thought it was some kind of tempura but when I had a close look, it was a plastic wrap and the server admitted that it was a wrap for the fish. They made a new one and didn’t charge for my dish. But I was just shocked that this could happen in an A grade restaurant in NYC

This was the second time we've come to Wano for our Anniversary dinner. We were greeted by the host who said immediately said happy anniversary and sat us at our table. Our server was great, we got the Omakase for both of us. It was delicious! Course after course of fresh sashimi and sushi along with some cooked items like two different soups, two different courses on unagi (eel for those that don't know), and anniversary glass of sparkling wine for my wife and an extra glass of sake for me and then dessert which was house made mango sorbet along with more sake! The last sake was Yuzu infuse and tasted like fresh citrus that was so flavorful I could have had a whole bottle! Thank you to the staff and chef at Wano, we had an incredible meal!

Our miso cod entree was inedible. Other dishes average at best. Amber carpaccio was quite good
