Low quality food, high prices, terrible service, even if you serve yourself they force you to give at least a 20% tip, in the payment system there is an option of 18 or no tip but both do not work when selected! I do not recommend!!!!

Japanese food is quite expensive in New York, so I was traveling on a budget, so I decided to eat here because it was affordable, available for takeout, and close to my hotel. I'll take it easy. There are few customers. The store staff are very friendly.

Kid-friendliness: If you have children with you on your trip, you can bring them inside the store.

Wheelchair accessibility: I don't think it's unreasonable for people in wheelchairs to enter the store, take out food, and eat as there is plenty of space.

It’s one of those grab and go spots. The bowls are decently priced. The Onigiri is overpriced for the quality (I had better at Japanese convenience stores) though but it’s Times Square so.

I will admit I did check this place out due to a cheap eats recommendation in Midtown manhattan. When I looked up the prices on google, I saw they were labeled as sets and thought perhaps I would get a good amount. It is not this places fault that the source recommending was completely wrong and needs to re learn the definition of a deal, but it just was not very good in general and I am holding it to restaurant sushi standards. Firstly, they only had one register open when there was another woman chatting with a coworker who could have been working the second register. Can we keep it moving and you guys can catch up during your breaks? She was standing right in front of the register smiling and talking, would have been nice to be seen first. Instead I waited in the single line which was just not necessary with the amount of workers idling. Now, I did willingly pay for this regardless of the ridiculous price because I walked all that way to give it a try. I clarify this in case someone thinks well if you saw the prices were ridiculous why would you pay? Some of the rolls were better than others, I was a fan of the spicy salmon. The ones with tuna and spicy tuna were not bad, just bland. I got this hot chicken dish as well which was a little spicy and came with a little rice on the side. I ended up spending over 30 bucks, waiting on a stupid lazy line which would have been moving if the staff was working, and not even really happy with my food. This is mainly takeout sushi, there is no way I should have paid that much for so little. I could go to some expensive sit down places I know, and even there I probably could have gotten a similar amount of food for that money. Furthermore, there are all you can eat sushi buffets that charge 30 bucks per person to eat at. Why wouldn’t I just go to one of those and hangout there for hours? I go to takeout places like this to spend 20 bucks tops, maybe less for a good amount of food. Does it have to be fancy and as amazing as sit down places, absolutely not but give me a real portion of food. Clearly my idea of midtown food deals do not match with this place nor the ridiculous source that recommended it. I can’t really recommend this place to a grab and go eater because if you are spending that money, might as well just go to another local sushi place and order pickup. This clarification is just in case someone rebuttals with “hey don’t compare this place to sit down spots, it is more of a quick fast food spot!” This would be a good point, but this place charges around what actual restaurants charge. If you charge big boy prices, you will be compared with the big dogs who actually serve up better quality. I would not be making this comparison if the prices here were lower similar to how I would not compare a Mcdonalds to a Steakhouse. The sushi is made ahead of time and so is the hot food; you could easily get high quality sushi made to order somewhere else. One last piece of advice I have is that rice is cheap. If you are going to be stingy on sushi sets with the fish, at least show some love and put extra rice on the side. They did that with the chicken dish, but it would have been nice to add it on side with the sushi. This could have gone a long way for a hungry unsatisfied customer like myself; it would have liked to at least be full from a takeout meal that cost me over 30 bucks. I know you guys can do better, just doubt I will be back to see it.

The sushi was okay, nothing special. The egg sandwich was disappointing though, tasted sweet for some reason? Not worth the price. The workers in the front were very nice, shout out to them. In general I’ve had better sushi, I don’t really recommend this place unless you’re desperate.

A precooked packaged meal that's been sitting under a hotplate...
Worst meal I had the entirety of my New York trip.

The sushi is pretty decent. Nothing too fancy. The Katsu and other hot foods are good as well. The worst food item that I’ve had was the egg salad sandwich. Smells like a regular sandwich but one bit into the sandwich, the egg salad super salty. Someone must have dumped a ton of salt when making this thing.

The sushi was terrible and was too expensive. Go to other sushi restaurants that are close by…

It had sort of a konbini feeling to it. The food was terrible, noodles were all soggy and the flavour felt like packed food

I took a vegetable soup as a takeout, seaweed salad and a spicy chicken and genuinely never had worse asian food. Unless you are really hungry I wouldn't recommend... It was absolutely tasteless. Maybe I got unlucky
