Stopped by to visit one of my favorite bartenders who was the main reason I started coming here, only to find out she had been fired. The owner claimed she was “slow and late,” even during blizzard weather, but the manager, other bar staff, and her regular customers all disagreed. She was also the only woman of color bartending there.
The situation left a really bad impression on me. I won’t be supporting this establishment anymore.
Today was my first time visiting West Bank Café, and I had the best experience ever! The staff and service were fantastic, and the owner greeted us as soon as we arrived. It’s in a great location, right in the heart of Manhattan. There’s even a parking garage next to the restaurant, which is perfect if you’re a commuter. I would definitely eat here again.
