Better atmosphere than food or service.

Necropolis and Ward 6 goth nights were always a great night of dancing and made me feel like no time had passed at all... Hopefully all the child-ren of the night are safe and peacefully tucked in at home during this stressful time. Night owls that can't sleep because of stress might be helped by this app: CBT-i Coach (it's not mine, it's from the VA and is totally free, no ads or datamining).

Windfall is always a good time. I have been here for multiple events from singles mixers to the monthly Goth and industrial parties that they host. I always have fun when I am here and always feel welcome. The drinks are USUALLY pretty good and the bartenders tend to have a pretty good attitude. Pretty easy walk here from Grand Central Terminal so that shouldn’t be a worry about getting there and back if you are taking public transportation to the area.

I came here for happy hour wi my friend. She told me that she liked it because it's not pretentious and had good drinks. I totally agree! I loved how they have a downstairs and upstairs so there is a lot of seating. We were able to sit at a table upstairs even though we were not ordering any food. We both got wine and it was $6!! Such a good deal for NYC. They also gave us tortilla chips and salsa to have with our drinks. The service was great. The waitress was xo Stanton filling up our water. She was super friendly also. I will definitely be back!

I called here in advance about a private party to find out if they were wheelchair accessible. A woman answered the phone, checked with other staff and then told me she would "let the owner know to have the ramp ready." When we got to the party the staff seemed confused by my companion's need to enter the restaurant and after offering to carry her in (dangerous) finally dragged out a folding table and laid it over the three steps up to the main floor. They then proceeded to act in a disbelieving and/or argumentative manner when she refused to drive her motorized wheelchair "up" the steeply angled table. Needless to say, this ruined our plans.

Went to bar for happy hour. They gave us free chips and salsa and boss man bought us a drink. Yay

I'd intended to go down the street to a different bar/pub, but this place looked inviting and was spacious. It was also quiet enough to sit down and catch up with an old coworker, which is what I was looking for. Prices were decent for the area and they gave out free chips and salsa which was a nice touch. I'll definitely be back - might suggest this as the next place for a work happy hour.

This is a beautiful restaurant where some nights, it becomes a goth venue.

Classic dive bar in the Bryant park area. Came here for drinks after work and had a pretty good time. We had a few tables reserved in the back and waitress was fast with drinks. Solid happy hour deals including $5 bud light and $6 wines. Pretty standard bar but what really stood out to me was the delicious pretzel we ordered. The pretzel itself was perfectly salted, came out steaming hot, buttery with a crispy crust. The beer cheese was amazing, so rich and creamy. Other sauce was great too. They had pigs in a blanket which I've never seen served at a bar before and am dying to try. Will back for more bar snacks!!
