Lady M Cake Boutique - Bryant Park is a favorite cake place and branch, a very short walk from the 7 train (5th Ave station). The cakes are good, but not brilliant; nicely presented and pleasant to taste, especially the famous mille crêpes, though the experience doesn’t quite live up to the hype. Worth a try if nearby, but not a must-visit spot in NYC. The flavors on these cakes are distinctive and mild. The pistachio cake is probably one of the best pistachio-flavored cakes, with a delicate pistachio flavor. The orange flavor completely exceeded expectations and is now considered one of the best desserts of all time. However, the Baklava Cake was extremely disappointing, with no pistachio flavor and no baklava flavor. The Dubai chocolate version also didn’t meet the quality level expected. Prepare time to wait for table service for coffee/tea and cakes. Be aware there is not a lot of sitting opportunities. Worth every $$$ splurge for any occasion, though some find it not worth the price and note better spots for a matcha slice.
