You know where to go when you miss your Asian dish. I went to Wondee Siam after my cruise trip to South America. If you’re Thai, they have special menu that definitely eliminate your homesick immediately.
I ordered Kangsom which is simply the red curry soup with fish paste. Kangsom’s soup is light (not creamy) but packed with very tiny pieces of fish. The taste is pretty similar to kimchi soup. Hot, sour and spicy. They served Kangsom with shrimps and Thai fried omelette. Went so well with white Jasmine rice. If you like Kimchi soup or Kimchi Jjigae, you will love this dish!
The staff is super friendly. They told me they had Thai milk tea as well. How can I miss it! I ordered a to-go and went to sit in the nice area very close to Wondee.

Last time I will order from here. I asked for mild green curry and they gave me flaming hot. The last 3 orders have been like this and when I called to complain they lied and said it was made with chili and I couldn’t order it mild, then they told me they made it mild and made me feel like I was too sensitive. I told them I eat green curry all the time and I don’t cry when I do but they insisted it was mild. They never attempted to fix the problem. There goes my lunch. Thanks Wondee

My wife is from Nan, Thailand and she felt this was a top 5 restaurant in Manhattan and some of the best thai food she's had in the US.

Excellent Thai food at a reasonable price
We stopped by Wondee Siam in Manhattan for a family lunch twice in August 2025. On both visits, the food was conistently excellent - flavorful, fresh, and well-presented.
We hope to return next time we are in the are.
Food ordered
Tom Kha Gai (Coconut milk Soup with Chicken) - excellent!
Papaya Salad - refreshing
Thai Salad - very plain; unmixed vegetables, passable.
Red Curry with Chicken - delicious!
Pad Thai - excellent
Pad Woon Sen (Glass Noodles with Beef) - tasted delicious, with a sauce that added an interesting touch. The beef was a little chewy though.
Beef with Cashew Nuts and Vegetables - very fresh, but could use a bit more spices for richer flavor.

This is the Thai place that makes me like Thai food. I've tried Thai food multiple times and it didn't do it for me. My friends brought me here for our monthly night out and I was pleasantly surprised. We shared everything and everything that I tasted impressed me more and more. I didn't get any pictures on our first visit because we dove right in and devoured everything so fast. On my second visit, I had the BBQ chicken dish that my friend last time and it was sooo good. The flavors were so well balanced and paired well with the Singha beer.
We are going back there soon and I will add more photos to this review because this place is soooo good!!

The food was great, but Thai food is always great. What made the difference was the service and the ambience. It was a beautiful restaurant with stellar service. We were a big group, and they sat us at different tables to order and check the menu until a table was available to join the group, so we wouldn't have to wait standing up. And very good food!

Highly recommend their Soft shell crab with chilli sauce. The taste of tamarind and garlic in the sauce is delicious! And the servers are very welcoming 👍

I always come here whenever I visit NYC. I highly recommend the Miang Kha Na (kale leaf wraps), the Yum Pla Dook Foo (crispy catfish salad), and the longan juice — all are so flavorful!
If you can, try to come on a Sunday. I personally think the chef on Sundays makes the food even better — everything tastes extra delicious!
The service is really nice too — friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better.

Dining at this Thai restaurant was nothing short of delightful — a vibrant, flavorful experience that left me smiling from the first bite to the last. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. The ambiance was cozy yet lively, with soft Thai music in the background and tasteful décor that beautifully reflected the culture.
The menu offered an impressive variety of authentic Thai dishes, each crafted with care and bursting with flavor. I started with the yum pla dook fo — perfectly balanced with a bright citrus kick and just the right touch of spice. The Pad krapow Moo kob was one of the best I’ve had, with tender , crunchy, and a tangy sauce that tied everything together. The pad ped pla dook was another standout —, aromatic, and packed with fresh herbs and vegetables.
What I appreciated most was the attention to detail — every dish was beautifully plated, and the staff made thoughtful recommendations based on my preferences. You could feel the pride they had in their food and the joy they took in sharing it.
There’s something incredibly uplifting about a place like this. It’s more than just a meal — it’s a celebration of Thai culture, warmth, and community. Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or trying it for the first time, this restaurant welcomes everyone with open arms and leaves you with a full belly and a happy heart.
I’ll absolutely be returning, and next time, I’m bringing friends! If you’re looking for comfort, flavor, and a dash of optimism in every dish, this Thai restaurant is the perfect spot

Wondee Siam is an excellent spot for authentic Thai cuisine — the food is absolutely delicious and comes out incredibly fast! Perfect for when you're craving something flavorful but don't want to wait around.
The menu offers a great variety of classic Thai dishes, and everything I tried was spot-on — rich in flavor, well-balanced, and cooked to perfection. Whether it’s the pad thai, green curry, or crispy duck, you really can’t go wrong.
The restaurant has a cozy, no-frills atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and efficient. It’s the kind of place that hits the mark every time — fast service, consistently tasty dishes, and great value.
If you're looking for a reliable and satisfying Thai meal in the city, Wondee Siam is a go-to. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Amazing food! Fresh, natural and authentic flavours. Colorful and beautiful dishes! We came as a family of two parents and two kids, 7 and 9 years old, and very much enjoyed a pad thai, papaya salad and soft shell crab with mango to share. And some mango sticky rice for dessert. Reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Noisy, but the wonderful food with its vibrant flavours definitely make up for it.
