Love this Bar in the West Village. I stop in whenever I visit my friend the city to start our night. Place is run well and fair priced for New York City.

Service was very bad. Bartender was unnecessarily rude to my boyfriend. Would not go back.

I’ve always loved this bar and been multiple times. I went in to use this restroom (after having one drink there) and a drunk man at bar kept asking how I was “honey” I ignored him to use restroom. On my way out, he blocked my path out, and his party and the bartender cussed me out as I left calling me rude. This man looked drunk and harassed me. Never had my space that violated. He literally blocked me from leaving and refused to move until I acknowledged him and the female bartender supported it. Will not be back here after allowing (sober) customers to be treated that way.

Cash only dive bar. Service is fine, bordering on bad, and the bouncer seems mentally unstable. Place is nothing special

Rude bartenders. The man with tattoos verbally assaulted a woman in my party. Sad reflection of the staff at the bar

Usually like this bar, nice bartenders good

Tonight was UNC v Duke, 2 seconds left on the clock, 1 point game. Guy walks in front of the tv, kindly ask him to scoot an inch over. Guy leaves the bar - weird. The bouncer started SCREAMING AT US, and THREATENED TO KNOCK US OUT. We left the bar and he followed us outside hurling insults. Honestly surprised, but definitely do not recommend anyone go to this bar - the people there to protect you are dangerous and threatening.

Just don't go, the reviews about the bartender are all accurate and the place is beyond overhyped. Plenty of other great places in NYC.

The atmosphere was perfect including a jukebox which I loved the most, but the bartender’s behavior spoiled everything. Me and my friend were in city for just a few days trying to explore the city. In our last day in new york we decided to go to this bar. We didn’t know about the tips culture here and therefore we just paid for our drinks. Then, we realized that the bartender was ignoring us deliberately because of tips. Even if we told that we were gonna give tips too so we could get new drinks, he just ignored us again and made us leave the bar. I don’t know maybe we were wrong too but his attitude was unacceptable definitely. Thank you for ruining all our impression at the end of the day.

Old school dive bar in the West Village that has a jukebox & does not take cash. They have an ATM in-house.

Sat down at the bar with 2 friends. Bartender asks what we want, ordered 3 beers. Tried to pay with a card and was told cash only. Said out loud I don’t have cash looking to my friend who had cash and the bartender immediately says “Well then you don’t have beers” and gives our beers to a random group across the bar. As he’s giving our beers away I try to wave at him to get his attention because we have cash. He turns and says “Don’t wave at me bro”. Got up and left. Most randomly aggressive bartender I’ve ever interacted with.

Like the atmosphere but terribly rude female bartender when we went with a very aggressive attitude for seemingly no reason. Shame because it’s a great neighborhood spot otherwise.
