One of the few authentic Japanese restaurants I enjoy coming to. It's always nice to have a place like this after my friends take me to "this great Japanese restaurant" which are 99% of the time not Japanese at all. If you've actually been to Japan or have been to real Japanese restaurants/bars/cafes, you can tell from the moment you walk into any establishment if the place is Japanese run or not, and this is definitely one of those places. Highly recommended!
Sushi was not great, and way overpriced. Ordered the 10 piece, which was $85, and received 10 very mediocre and small pieces. The Chu-toro didn't taste fresh. The one that you would expect to be salmon was actually trout (cheaper fish). The scallop dish tasted good but was tiny ($17 for maybe one or two scallops cut up in small pieces). Staff were overly attentive, which may be a good thing for some. We ordered their pork belly shabu shabu and everything tasted fresh, however portions were a bit small for the price. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Once and done
