In this restaurant the service is very bad, the waiters and almost all the employees are very bad-tempered and rude, and the food has deteriorated a lot...I do not recommend this place, bad food.

Good Chinatown grub.
Parking: If you're dumb enough to drive to Chinatown, you deserve the parking. Try not to get towed.

Chinese Restaurant on Bayard St.
Standard Chinese menu, with all of the traditional Chinese menu items.
Seems to cater to tourists.
A solid Chinese food experience.

Very good roast pork 🐖 and very good eggplant! I always order 🍆 and this is the first place I have experienced where the eggplant comes with other vegetables. Way too much sauce but still good. The restaurant decor is nothing fancy but it is quite large. Service was good. The waiters spoke poor English which made it feel more authentic!
Vegetarian options: The eggplant was delicious. Very saucy though. Ask for less sauce or sauce on the side.

We had jumbo shrimp with broccoli, and it was delicious! However, all the Chinese staff seemed angry—no smiles, no warmth. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and it’s not great being served by people who look upset all the time. Please train them on proper manners and customer service.

I've been coming here for years, throughout their changes in management. I had the Peking style pork chops which were quite good, and the pan fried noodles with seafood which was not good. There was an overabundance of squid, and the squid tasted fishy. When fish tastes fishy that means that it is old. When the waitress gave me back my change she " forgot" the coin part and had to be reminded. I have patronized the restaurant that existed
in this spot for decades, and I can tell you that I am done with them now. AND, take note of the following. They have now started the practice of automatically rewarding themselves with an 18% tip, which I find to be entirely inappropriate, considering that there was no real service to speak of.

Rude service and add 18% tips directly ??
1. The food is not fresh. It maybe yesterday or before yesterday. She said we can't compare the food with hongkong.
2. We gave the cash without tip. The waitress asked us about tip

You idiot, why do you have to ask me to tip? It’s like I owe them money. Are you so short of money? It’s so funny ❤️

Ordinary Chinese restaurant serving usual offering. We came in after a long walk from the Brooklyn Bridge
for our New Year's Eve dinner. Usual service then when the bill came I was shocked to see an 18% gratuity auto added on the bill, not sure if it's a New York thing or just the way to extract your hard earned money but it's a turn off for me..to me tipping should be voluntary and service driven... I've had experienced better service than what I've had from that place...

I ordered pork pan fried dumplings. I didn’t know where to try But I happened to walk by here. Their customer service isn’t the best to people who don’t look like them. Or at least fair skinned. I asked questions about the menu & the waitress refused to answer or even ask the cook. A simple can you replace the pork with chicken in the lo mein question. She stood there confused. I just said okay only the dumplings. My dumplings weren’t that great & trust I’ve had many. As I get ready to leave she places my change on the table. I count it with the rest of my cash & a man was just watching me. I felt very uncomfortable. (That’s him in the picture) I get up to zip my coat, he approaches me loudly saying I only paid the bill not the tip. I said I know & he proceeds to argue with me about tipping her. Which was not his place to even ask because he never catered to me from the beginning. I hadn’t even picked up my bag or anything. How were you to know if I was going to tip or not. I still ended up tipping the waitress although she didn’t help much besides bring the drink and dumplings which was her job. But I would not recommend here if you’re a person of color. They’re only concerned of how much you tip them. Very rude and disgusting & just want to rush you out of their restaurant.

This place is decent and caters to tourists, and has a nice broad menu and lunch specials even on the weekends. We enjoyed the soup noodle, and the fried noodle dishes the best. There were plenty of staff walking back and forth to flag down. Plenty of seating for solo or groups. Enjoy!

Staff was unfriendly and couldn't speak any English. Tofu was stale
Automatically added 18% tip on rude service and not even good food. Prices to high for the quality and cold atmosphere.
