We needed a moderately priced Manhattan restaurant for our daughter and her teenaged friends to celebrate her birthday. The restaurant had no problem serving a group of teens, and the kids had a great time. They enjoyed the food and the ambiance. My daughter said, "We were louder than the restaurant but nobody asked seemed to mind."
We had a wonderful time dining at Zara Mia in Chelsea! We'd been there once before and we were looking forward to going back. The second visit exceeded our expectations. The service was exceptional and the food and drinks were delicious! Food was consistent from one visit to the next and our service was extraordinary! I had made an appointment for a Friday birthday dinner and was seated immediately when I arrived. Fried calamari and Veal Parmigiana were outstanding. The tiramisu was recommended by my server and it did not disappoint! Will visit again on my next trip to the city. One thing to consider is requesting seating as far away from the ovens as possible. Even 20 feet away was noticeably warm.
