“Family owned & operated, delicious sub sandwiches available after the local restaurants close their kitchens @ 10pm!I ordered sliced turkey piled into an Artesian sub roll with lots of fresh veggies, my husband ordered a baked chicken Parmesan. The sandwiches were prepared by a trained Chef, who took over the market from his dad. Don’t be fooled by the slightly disorganized appearance of this tiny corner market! Basic grocery items & assorted fresh veggies for sale. Try the sandwiches once & you will be a loyal returning customer!“

“Falls Deli & Fallsview Casino, Niagara Falls, Ontario – A Savage Journey to the Heart of Culinary Simplicity

Arriving here is like stumbling onto a well-hidden mirage amid the neon-lit fever dreams of Niagara Falls, where the lure of table games and overpriced cocktails usually spell a quick descent into madness. But not here. No, at Falls Deli, they’ve mastered an ancient recipe for satisfaction: serve great food, and do it simply. Nothing fancy, nothing pretentious. Just honest, gut-level perfection.

From the moment we stepped in, greeted by a host whose kindness could have easily landed them in another line of work, we knew we were in for something beyond the usual casino eats. Within seconds, we were shepherded to a table with a view that would turn Hemingway lyrical – the roaring falls glimmering in the distance, a reminder that nature's majesty is just a few steps from man's casino excess.

Enter our server – a punctual apparition with a notepad and a knack for reading minds. Drinks were taken and burgers were ordered with ruthless efficiency. Three of us went in for the prime rib burgers, and as they made their grand approach, the scent alone promised something almost holy. Massive and glistening, they were the kind of burgers you remember – juicy, monumental, perfect enough to make you question every other burger you've ever had.

But it was the Montreal smoked meat sandwich that got me – a towering stack of juicy, smoke-imbued meat layered between fresh bread that was soft and warm, like a hug in carbohydrate form. You could tell this wasn’t some stale disaster pulled out of a cold case in the back. No, this was hand-crafted, treated with reverence – a love letter to the sandwich arts. Each bite sang with smokiness and salt, backed by that rare bread that complements rather than competes.

Between the superb service, the falls view that frames every bite with grandeur, and food that speaks to the soul of a weary traveler, Falls Deli is a beacon. I’d call it a hidden gem if that didn’t sound so cliché, but maybe it’s that and something more – a final refuge for those who crave something genuinely good, uncomplicated, and comforting amid the flashing lights and slot-machine frenzy. Highly recommend.“
