“They have great prices on a wide variety of European dishes. One of the few places you can buy sour kraut pierogies. They also have cabbage rolls, and a wide variety of European old world favorites. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is lots of parking too.“
“Heard great thing about George’s, I decided to give it a go tonight for a nice chicken dinner. The George’s chicken club sandwich is absolutely delicious, I was looking for something more on the healthier side.Thats why i got the fries too?? the fries were fantastic!!! And the sandwich was full of flavor. 10/10 local chicken shops are sometimes better then the big dogs!A staple in the neighborhood for years and I see why ??“
“Hi lovely sandwich but I'm slightly disappointed with the way the couple approached me when I was trying to place an order .They assumed I was a delivery person working for online platforms without even asking assuming looking at my skin color ,whereas all I wanted was to place an order .Did not set the right tone nevertheless will be definitely going again . Hopefully they are more cautious going forward to all the patrons“
“Walking in I immediately felt a real throwback mom and pop vibe and automatically knew I was in the right place.. I struck up a conversation with the owner and he enthusiastically took my order and personally made my sandwiches...I ordered two specials and a turkey and roast beef with provolone.. After much searching and a few heartbreaks Im glad to say my prayers have finally been answered! This is my new go to spot in Toronto when I'm craving an authentic homemade deli sandwich. Not only are the portions huge but the ingredients were all high quality. The owner was passionate and you can tell he puts his heart and soul into every order.. He's very proud and I don't blame him.. These guys are the real deal. I can't wait to go back you made my day.. Montreal smoked meat sandwiches are always perfect, fries are crispy and bountiful, coleslaw is tangy perfection and the gravy is the definition of classic diner gravy. Pickles are uniquely savory and crunchy too.Other delis charge almost lot more for a lot less in both quality and quantity - don’t be fooled by Uncle Sid’s fair prices because it’s the real deal, top quality.“

They use grass fed, hormone and anti-biotic free meats that are prepared fresh daily until they sell out.Service here is super friendly, and while there's limitd seating, due to the small size of the place, they have a sink right across the counter for customers who wishes to eat there to wash their hands since some of these sandwiches can get messy.“

“Overall good food in this small deli on Avenue Road near the intersection with Lawrence. Nice and clean location with plenty of seating. Good for takeout with decent choices on the menu. Honestly - all good, but not necessarily amazing, principally for a couple of reasons. First, the sandwiches are absolutely fresh with amply portions of fresh meat, but they were not overwhelmingly different or especially flavorful. Second, the menu is slightly more expensive - especially given the first point. As a consumer, I would pay for unique, but unfortunately Dave's was not different enough to support a premium price for the meal.“
“Finally had a chance to try out this place- absolutely delicious. The Caesaroni was phenomenal, hands down one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Toronto 15/10. Highly recommend. Also tried the brekky bun and it was quite good 8/10. Both sandwiches come with a side pickle which is always appreciated. We will definitely be back!“
“Everytime I go to Pacific mall to walk or hangout with friends, I would go to there just to order some fishballs. This place is really good. For reccomendations I would say: the red sausage, fishball and their beefballs. In addition to the beefballs, it is flavourful and I could savor every bite out of it. Overall a really good place for a snack.“

“Was here for lunch on Friday, January 19, 2024. Soo busy. Lorne pancer was in the house!Friendly, community-based deli.We had 2 pastrami sandwiches; large portion, you might want to share? Is that cinammon I taste? This is done in house.Had coleslaw and potato salad as an addition. Coleslaw is good, potato salad needs work, maybe another mayo and some seasoning? Not sure if these are done in house?There are not many delis in Toronto, this is a good one. Will be back to try other offerings.“
