We loved the food - it was well-seasoned and packed with flavor (we had enchiladas mole and a chicken fajita: both delicious), and we were treated with kindness and cheer. This place would be packed if it were not for the liquor license issue, which I hope will be resolved because it’s clear that the owner has put so much into making a cute restaurant with really fun and festive decor. This place will add so much to the walk of restaurants. Go in for the food; it’s worth it. And hopefully the drinks and bar will return soon. Everyone in NT should be rooting the restaurant on — we want to have successful small businesses! Whatever the issue is, I am hoping for the best. We enjoyed our visit.

Not open
Was sat at the bar. Ordered a ice tea and 3 tacos. Waited for 30 minutes and then saw people that sat at the bar well after me be served before me. Server never put my order in. And still charged me $4.00 for the ice tea. They also dont have a liquor license to serve drinks. No apology. No empathy. Complete joke of an establishment!

EDIT: the following comment was left under the previous entity at this location, El Punto. It is not applicable to the current establishment and I have not eaten at the new entity since it opened intermittently.
Delicious food - the house made chips and salsa are worth a visit alone. The margaritas are delicious - if you like heat, try the jalapeno one. We experienced faster service at a table than the bar, but either way the food is fantastic.

My lunch special, quesadilla was really good. My niece also liked her burrito lunch special. Both came with rice and beans, and were only 9.99. I definitely enjoyed it!

They have been closed since around Thanksgiving 2025. It looks like they don't have a liquor license. Last info we had said they would open around December 15th, and that has come and gone.

Ranchos Tres Cantina reopens Monday, January 26th at 11:00 AM!
We're excited to open our doors again and welcome everyone back. We'll be serving food starting Monday and look forward to seeing familiar faces back in the restaurant

Great food and service Monday margaritas 4 bucks any flavor so good
The food was absolutely amazing, and it is a very fun atmosphere. Frozen margaritas were great! The service, however, was very slow. We waited quite a bit for our order to be taken, other tables around us who were seated after us, received their food before us.

Sure hate to give this a bad review. I’ll start out by saying we have a favorite Mexican restaurant near Sheridan Drive and Niagara Falls Blvd. We get our drinks served immediately, plentiful chips and salsa with refills, hot food served quickly. Amazing seasoning and cooked to perfection.
Not the case with this place. We were seated by the hostess. It took forever for our server to get to us and then an incredibly long time to get our drinks which were bottled beer and didn’t need making. The dinners were simple shrimp tacos, they only had to put the shrimp on and you put your own toppings on and the bean and rice were flavorless. We had to wait much too long for the food to come out, especially since there weren’t many people in the place. Really poor service and bland food. Really wanted to like it.

I don’t like to give bad reviews for restaurants in North Tonawanda but here goes. Last night three of us went there at 6:30. It was not busy and we were seated right away. The waiter was very slow in coming back to our table for drinks and then food order. We got the queso and the guacamole dip,,,, Then we waited for a long time before the entrées came. The plates were extremely hot. The food was not. I don’t know how that happens but all three of us felt the same way. Felt the prices were on the high side for Mexican cuisine. Will not be returning anytime soon.

This place is SUCH a vibe. The staff are so friendly, the food is to die for. The queso and homemade chips are great! I had the chimichanga and my husband had the fajita. Both were 10/10! Can’t wait to come back. Quick and friendly service!
