“I love this place, much better than other delis in the area. However, they are a bit more pricey than the others. Bagels are always delicious and the staff are always friendly and kind. One big reason this isn’t a 5 star review is because the staff do not change their gloves regularly. They will touch cash, the register, other things around the store, and then go touch your bagel. Disgusting! Either have 1 hand for food and the other for money or just change your gloves between orders.“

“Went at 11AM on a Sunday. The parking lot was a puzzle of cars trying to get in and out and just parking anywhere they could. There was a minimal line inside. We had the steak, the chicken and the Cuban sandwiches. They were all AMAZING. The chicken and the Cuban melted my fat heart. I then ordered some to go for later on, since I live in Queens. “Great place. i go before work but sometimes the dressing on the sandwich is to much and the bread starts to get wet. I would say prices are kinda high but then again i like to get extra food incase a coworker doesn't have any food or to bring home for dinner. I do wish the bagels were a bit better. The workers are nice but one time i was getting food for a coworker and me and one of the guys said "what are you doing? getting food for a date" 1. i'm single 2. Bro i was ordering a Texas chainsaw sandwich. i don’t think a girl would eat a sandwich that big loaded with nothing but beef and bacon and cheese drenched in sauce. “The Blue Sky Deli is not called "Chopped Cheese Delicious" but the food and the staff have not changed. I wanted to have one of their Chopped Cheese sandwiches for dinner and it did not disappoint. The sandwich is now $8.00 so it is not as cheap as it was before. Still the sandwich, which is basically a chopped up double cheeseburger with spices on a hero roll that is pressed, is still excellent. It is a great sandwich and really filling. The sandwiches are made well with the usual Boars Head and they do not skimp on portion. The star of the deli is the wonderful breads. The rye is marble and delicious. This is the best deli Ive been to aside from Kitchen Cabaret on Glen Cove Rd. The only problem is the DAMN PICKLE ...I cant stand pickle flavor near my sandwhich. No matter how emphatic I am, I still get that damn pickle wrapped in the second piece of paper 50% of the time. I have gotten catering from them many times. Very good. Food is good and they wrap , label nicely. They close early as most deli's do ..... why not provide delivery of DINNER at the end of the day? I certainly would love to call in and have soup and a sandwich for me my husband, and a salad of hot food for my kids dropped off at the end of the day BEFORE I have to worry about dinner.“
