Just stopped in for a very early dinner while passing through town. It's usually a red flag when there is no one else in the place but we were pleasantly surprised. Food was absolutely delicious, we had the French onion soup, salad and the seafood combo, and I kid you not they were the most perfect French fries I have ever had. Wish I lived closer. Service was very friendly also!

The food is great and the menu changes every so often, so there's usually something new to try here. The service is great as well. They have live music here and there (I'm not in here a lot so I'm not familiar with the schedule). The owner (I believe he's the owner) is usually out seating guests and checkig in on the food. Great to see a business owner taking such a hands-on approach.

We would never visit this place again. It was dirty, dingy and uninviting. The food was o k but the atmosphere was overwhelmingly bad

They have let this place go. I've been to Elijah Churchill's multiple times, and was never impressed or blown away with their food or service. However, I go there for the atmosphere, and cool outside patio. When I showed up a few weeks ago, the weeds were absolutely out of control, the outside of the establishment looked abandoned, and for what they charge for a mediocre (at best) burger and fries, it should feel like you're not eating in a decomposing, unkempt, debilitated and depressed environment. Giving it 2 stars because I enjoy their beer selection.PS - Take a look at their "tattered" flag on the top of the building. That's what you should expect overall from Elijah Churchill's.... a "tattered" and depressed experience.

Absolutely great food and service. Looking to have a christening here due to how happy we are. Definitely coming back!

Went to see a band we were chasing (Perfect Strangers), who by the way were wonderful! The food was close to being very good, but missed the mark. First off, our menu's were still on our table when we left. I would think once we ordered our entree, they'd be gone. Started with drinks and the Mexican nacho's (2 of us). The nacho's were OK, but were a bare minimum. Chips, cheese, jalapeno's, a little bit of some kind of salsa, and that was it. A little meat, maybe some guac, give me something here! Then we got the fried chicken. The chicken was served sitting atop a waffle, with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. The chicken and Brussels sprouts were outstanding! The waffle I could've lived without, just bland, nothing to it. The mashed potatoes were way too garlicky. Neither one of us had more than a taste. On a Saturday night, with nice live music, you'd think they'd be packed. Judging by our meal, I can see why they weren't. Frustrating thing is, they are pretty close to being good/really good, alas they're not. Kick up the nacho's with $1.00's worth of extra toppings and some imagination! Lay off the garlic on the mashed, or instead offer the chicken with baked potato... A few minor changes would go a long way. 3 stars is probably a bit generous, maybe two without the great live music.
